33 cl bottle. Pours dark brown-ish with small head. Aroma is full of roasted malts, some coffee and smoke. Also vanilla, oily phenols and alcohol in taste. A little too thin body for the ABV and complex tastes, and the finish is not only pleasant (a little bit too much lactose and acid). ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Small beige head. Clear deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Roasted rye crisp bread and dark chocolate aroma with nutty spicy notes. Dryish-sweet roasty spicy rye crisp bread taste with earthy dusty notes. Fullish-body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish roasty soy sauce and lacquer aftertaste with earthy dusty rye crisp bread notes. Lovely. Excellent! Vivid, clear, full of flavour, harmonic, and scarily easy to drink. (0.33l bottle, I forget where from.)

Svart-röd öl med ett kräm-brunt färgat skum. Doft: Kaffe, kakor, kakao, alkohol, mjuk pepparkaka, ost. Smak: Som doft fast sötare.

33 cl bottle from Systemnolaget Sälen. Black color, ok foam. Roasted aromas, licorice, malt : medium / high aroma intensity- also lighter notes of coffee and dried fruits. Full body & high complexity. Good bitterness & balance. Very enjoyable.

Bottle at home, 330 ml, thanks to RMgep! Into a snifter, ABV 9.5% Very deep brown to almost black colour on the body with deep red ruby shades when light meets the glass. Minimal brown head with low retention, leaving just a thin line around the glass. Aroma of chocolate, liqouers, espesso coffee upfront, figs, burnt malts, wood, ash after swirling the glass a bit. Taste is also very complex, roasted malts, sweet chocolate, espresso with grand marnier in it and because of that the alcohol notable but without being annoying, some wood, vanilla. Medium body, carbonation is good, nice feeling on the palate too. Overall a fantastic imperial stout, like a liquid tiramisu and as a fan of that dessert I enjoyed it big time. Fantastic!

33 cl brown bottle 9.5%abv. Aroma choco-roasted malts. Low beige head, dark clear brown body. Tastes chocolate, roasted malts, strong liquorice, hints of mints. Slightly oily to palate, well bodied indeed. Finishes with chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, alright lingering, alright overall. Spend time with the glass as enjoying a concentrated confectionery box. (B@systembolaget Luleå City, enjoyed@hotel room Luleå Sweden Feb7th2014)

Bottled 330ml. -Almost black coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, really pleasant coffee and chocolate nose. Roasted malt, coffee/chicory and some chocolate with notes of licorice and hops. Noticable alcohol but all in normal limits. Nice one.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Pours dark, brown with a tanned head. Smells of roasted malts, coffee, evergreen hops, some seasonal spices and caramel. Medium sweet, quite roasty, coffee, cocoa, some spicy notes. Moderate bitter finish. Not very imperial to me; the original is way better

Aroma: Smelling of dark bread, figs, coffee and chocolate.
Appearance: A dark brown colored beer. A low off-white head with no lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting dark bread, dates, figs, chocolate and peel.
Palate: No carbonation, a soft and oily texture. A big body with a slightly dry finish.
Overall: Black oily, sweet and soothing.
Note: Bottle 330 ml at home. Reviewed 2013-11-23.
