COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at home from my Copenhagen haul ... Nice copper with big short lived foam head ... malty pine hop ... big fruity pine hop ... little sweet ... big citrus ...little smokey ... Having with a spicy pizza had destroyed the subtly tones ... but its really working for me ... another duggees hit... though a bit over carbonated

Bottle, KØ11. Cloudy amber/brown colour. Very small tan head. The flavour is a little spicy, perhaps from the hops. Some nice maltiness, a little spicy also, like some rye beers.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2009 On tap at The Rover, Gothenburg. Clear, copper color and a beige head leaving nice lacings. Hops and sweet malt in the aroma and flavor. The flavor has some beefstock notes as well. Full to medium body and a long, bitter finish. Rating: 6-3-6-3-13-3.1. (060824)

Bottle. An almost clear, copper beer with an off-white to beige head. Malty nose with fluorine-like hops and a slight touch of sourness. Sweet on the palate, medium- to full-bodied, with piney and fluorine-like hops. Fine bitterness in the finish. I’ve had it in my cellar too long, it lacks the freshness I’ve tasted before, but it’s a nice and easy drinkable beer with quenching qualities. Rating: 6-3-6-3-13-3.1. (090116)

From tank at the brewery. Clear, copper-colored beer with a creamy beige head. Pine, american hops, fruits and resin in the aroma. The flavor has pine, hops, fruits and some caramel notes. Full-bodied, with a long hoppy finish. A nice one from Dugges, but it felt better fresh from the tank than from tap at a bar. (060825)

<!-- i -->Draught@The Rover.<!-- /i --><!-- br --> Brown color, nice creamy tan head. Honeyish flowery hoppy aroma. Sweetish, even toffeish flavor, Also flowery hoppy. Aftertaste is hoppy. Someway sweet and average bodied for IPA. Second try @brewery, directly from tank. Not sweet like in the Rover.

Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.
Deep brownish red with a fine, large, creamy, yellowish head. Aroma is big and hoppy. Lots of strawberries, melons, herbs, light spiciness and grapefruit. Some malts and slight yeasty cardboard as well. Highish carbonation, a bit weak in mouthfeel. Flavour is low on malts, some yeast and a nice, fruity, bitter finish. Somehow, the initial flavours don’t add up all that well to the rest of the beer.

hazy red-amber, smooth yellow head. Pretty damn dark for an IPA. very fruity aroma, also loads of flowery hops, and some bitter hops. reminds me of other scandinavian ipa’s, it is not entirely like an american ipa. Also sweet malts and syrup or honey in the aroma. flavor is caramelly, honey, malty, flowery, bitter hoppy (herbal bitterness). A bit messy and lots of strange flavors, but pretty strong and in-your-face. Definetly better tastng than if it was just boring. Still can’t help thinking that something’s wrong with it. The caramelly and fruity notes are strong in this one, master yoda.
