Bottle shared in London - many thanks to the CDA first lieutenant, Colin. Pours deep brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose has dark fruits, mellow cocoa, soft roast. Light to medium sweet flavor with strong, slightly harsh bitter earth, baking cocoa, charred wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Burnt wood on the finish, light raisins, bittersweet cocoa. Pretty straightforward, pretty decent.

yngwie (13346) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 20, 2014
Bottle. A hazy, dark brown beer topped by a dense, finger-thick light beige head. The aroma has a pleasant piney and resiny touch and some faint roasted notes. The roasted malts at a pleasant level. It’s quite hoppy in the flavor, with some roasted notes and chocolate. Quite bitter. Full-bodied and quite pleasantly carbonated. Lasting finish with hops doing more than the malts. A nice black IPA that is almost easy drinkable. Not much impact from the malts, which is good. 140420

Flaske fra SB Sälen. Nesten svart med mørk skum. Masse humle i aromaen, pluss sitrus og faktisk litt kaffe. Nydelig humle/grape smak, medium kullsyre - mye bitterhet. Veldig bitter ettersmak - GOD!

TEJA (1281) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2014
Bottle Fronesis systembolaget. Big aroma if black roasted malt and a taste that is also dominansen by ut. A bit too fruity to be a good schwartzbier but still a fine roasted taste.

mjs (4543) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 1, 2014
(Bottle, 0.33 l - T-203 -BB 2014-06-12, from Systembolaget, 20140401) The beer poured almost black and clear. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had fruitiness, liquorice and smoke. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, liquorice, sweetness, burnt malts, coffee, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, ashy and bitter. A too burnt brew.
