COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This stout is made as an experiment just to see how a lot of roasted barley goes with exactly the same hops as in Avenyn Ale

sayravai (4526) - Helsinki, FINLAND - NOV 2, 2006
(Draught@Pikkulintu, Helsinki) Very dark reddish brown with a medium, creamy and foamy, lacy head. Slightly sweetish, roasted-malty aroma with licorice. Licoricey, slightly burned, but mostly roasted-malty flavor. Nothing spectacular, but a fine, enjoyable and pleasantly low-abv stout, without excess color malt. Nice!

Pours dark brown, tan head. Roastes malts and coffee in aroma, with some notes of cocoa. Slight hoppy flavour with good bitterness and roastyness. Somewhat chocolatey.

[On draught. Stockholm Beer Festival] Very dark brown colour, capuccino coloured head-looks pretty yummy. Aroma from American hops, along with coffee. Vegetables was not sensed. Light bodied naturally, bit phenolic with a deep coffee-capuccino-chocolatey flavour. Slighly bitter malty in the finish. In my opinion, a solid, tasty beer.

(Draught at The Rover, Göteborg) Dark brown to black color, tan to brown head. Fruity mixed with burnt scent. Initially fruity and sweet, but quickly gets dominated by a burnt taste. Mix of fruity and burnt aftertaste. High bitterness, rather sharp.
