16.9 oz bottle. Pitch black color, minimal to virtually none brown head, yet a tiny bit of lace. Very good super-roasty bitter taste. Some sweetness, too. Nice bitter roasty coffee aroma, little dark chocolate. Some smoke. Really big, chewy body. Very light carbonation. Good oatmeal factor here. Really tasty imperial stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 kathouse (305) - Nevada, USA - MAY 7, 2012
Black with a thin wisp of tan foam. Chocolate with a touch of vanilla is attractive but a little weak. Some toasted malt and caramel. Better as it warms. Bold flavor of dark chocolates and blackened toast. Hops become apparent in the finish. Earthy and spicy with a lingering but balanced bitterness.

This imperial stout was very drinkable.Aromas revealed light vanilla and coffee with light grapes and chocolate. The taste was rich with roasted malts and fresh coffee, while undertones of prune, cherries and hops were delicate and balancing. Thanks to OmegaX for this much-enjoyed brew.

Snifter pour. Nose is slight roast, lighter fluid, molasses, charcoal, some light chocolate and some alcohol. Pour is dark brown with a khaki head. Overall, I got a lot of port wine qualities with some roasted coffee and chocolate qualities. Similar to a mocha brownie. Very rich and intense brew. Boozy too. Not bad at all. I’d like to age one of these babies.

Smells like a delicious imperial. Palate is the weak spot. Thin and boring. Taste is big...deep and dark roasted malts. Good imperial. Not spectacular. Sweden...check.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 ROGUE (1360) - Newark, Delaware, USA - MAR 8, 2012
500ml bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head that quickly recedes. Big aroma of roasted malts, rich coffee, and dark chocolate. Taste is roastiness with loads of rich cocoa, along with a subtle milk chocolate note and a hint of dark fruit and a touch of smoke. Mouthfeel had prickley carbonation, full body, and a kind of a burnt dry slightly bitter finish.
