4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home, bought from RealAle twickenham, drank 17th April 15. Poured wierdly, glutinous and lumpy, however seemed to settle down in the glass. Aroma is ash, smoke, tar, slight rubber, synthetic leather. Taste is full on malts, burnt wood, ash, tobacco, hops in the background, leaving a bitter finish. Dryer than many imperial stouts and well balanced. Mouth feel is very thick for the low ABV. Excellent

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours in deep black body with medium creamy brown head. Aroma is cocoa, chocolate, toffee, home made caramel, really nice. Taste has light alcoholic touch upfront but goes to heavy caramel sweetness, the bitterness is almost none to moderate, mostly with chocolate character. Really nice desert beer. Body is full, very high carbonation.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours jet black as it should for an imperial stout. One of the most aromatic stouts right out of the fridge i have ever had, tons of coffee and dark roasted malts. Fairly bitter on the taste with lots of the same from the aroma, very heavy mouthfeel and as usual no hints of the ABV shining through.
Very nice Imperial indeed!
Bottle from SB.
