3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
50cl bottle. Black pour, thin tan head. Dried dark fruit on the nose, prune juice, red grapes, chocolate, roasted malt, light cinnamon spice, more vinous notes. Taste is again full of juicy vinous notes, some tobacco smoke, dark chocolate, slightly burnt coffee, prunes and figs, hint of harsh booze. Big bitter roasted malt in the finish, alongside some sweeter fruits and brown sugar. Impressive gear.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Poured a black color with an average frothy tan head that mostly diminished with good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap. Pours black with a nice brown head. Not much lacing though. Strong aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Taste is very good - of hard roasted malt and coffee, but also chocolate, molasses and a hint of liquorice. Full-ish body and medium carbonation. Very good. Nothing super special but it's solid and precisely what I like. My first Swedish beer (I think) and so far it's very promising. :-)

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Thick oily black pour with creamy off white head, aroma brought notes of slight ash, roast, nice dark fruits, hints of a nice acidic coffee bean, hints of anise as well, touch of cocoa. Taste is a mix of dark fruit, dark chocolate, and thick roasted malt into some ash, earth, slight anise, finishing bitter, dry.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
For a imperial stout the aroma is a bit too subtle. Nothing really stands out in this stout but it?s still a solid beer. At the price I would at The moment much rather have Evil Twins "Christmas eve in a New York..." - imperial stout that is on offer here in Sweden as a Christmas beer. Both cost around 4,5 $. The Evil Twin is much more luxurious and simply on another level.
