COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ordentligt svart. Lite kolsyra. Fruktig och söt i doften. Fyllig smak av frukt och choklad. Mastig, len och rund i gommen.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a dense beige head. Mainly roaste malrs in the aroma, coffee, chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Taste is bitter chocolate and medium sweet. I would prefer a bit more middle notes in the form of caramel sweetness, otherwise a great brew.

33cl bottle thanks to omhper. Nice dark color with thin head. Taste is light to medium bitter. Carbonation is very soft. Texture is thin but gets thicker with time. Aroma is high coffee, light roasted.

Top class stout, amazing on the nose including: coffee, dark chocolate and some vanilla notes. Huge flavour of dark chocolate and coffee, along with hints of booze. Oh wow!

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours opaque black with a lovely, large, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has coffee, caramel, hazelnuts, Nutella, dark chocolate. Low if somewhat prickly carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, very ’dark’. Coffee, smoked, chestnuts, sweet malts, burnt caramel, ashy, light charcoal, vinious and light warming. Lingering, bitter finish. Very nice.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Black colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, cacao and hints of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, cacao, creamy coffee, chocolate truffles and a generous cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Quite dry, but a hint of sweetness coming through. Exceptionally well balanced and actually ridiculously good. Excellent beer!

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2013 Pitch black, small head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Wonderful smooth body with medium carbonation, taste of licorice toffee, coffee and dark chocolate. Finish an almost minty salmiak pastille and pleasant hops. Really nice!

Pours pitch-black with half a finger muddy-white head, which vanishes quite quickly, but leaves a skirt. Aroma is unbelievable roasty. Coffee, herbs and milk chocolate supports it very well. This robust roastiness is actually quite fascinating. Taste is also very roasted. It also has chocolate, herbs, coffee, earth and milk. Mouthfeel is stable and medium+. All in all, tasty imperial stout, which can be described in one word, roasty, Quite robust, but very tasty.
