3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Systembolaget. Black with a dense beige head. Mainly roaste malrs in the aroma, coffee, chocolate, licorice, vanilla. Taste is bitter chocolate and medium sweet. I would prefer a bit more middle notes in the form of caramel sweetness, otherwise a great brew.

Bottle, bought @ Systembolaget, Hyltebruk. Pours opaque black with a lovely, large, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has coffee, caramel, hazelnuts, Nutella, dark chocolate. Low if somewhat prickly carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, very ’dark’. Coffee, smoked, chestnuts, sweet malts, burnt caramel, ashy, light charcoal, vinious and light warming. Lingering, bitter finish. Very nice.

(Bottle, Akkurat, Stockholm) Black colour with lasting, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, coffee, cacao and hints of vanilla. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, cacao, creamy coffee, chocolate truffles and a generous cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a smooth and rounded mouthfeel. Quite dry, but a hint of sweetness coming through. Exceptionally well balanced and actually ridiculously good. Excellent beer!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours pitch-black with half a finger muddy-white head, which vanishes quite quickly, but leaves a skirt. Aroma is unbelievable roasty. Coffee, herbs and milk chocolate supports it very well. This robust roastiness is actually quite fascinating. Taste is also very roasted. It also has chocolate, herbs, coffee, earth and milk. Mouthfeel is stable and medium+. All in all, tasty imperial stout, which can be described in one word, roasty, Quite robust, but very tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a thick black from the bottle with a thin ring of tan head that leaves light lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, a hint of chocolate, some belgian esters, and a touch of alcohol. Taste follows, the chocolate and the roasted malts come out more as it warms, and the belgian yeast kind of falls off. Interesting, good.
