Appearance: Sinful black color with a big bubbly beige head that last for a long time. Some lacing.
Aroma: Lots of chocolate and coffee. Some roasted malt.
Palate: Thick oily body. Slightly sweet, with some bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Rich smooth toffee, chocolate and coffee flavor. Some roasted malt in the background. Very well hidden alcohol.
Overall impression: Well done Dugges. Powerful and tasty Imperial Stout without being to heavy. Im sure the Russian Tsar would be really pleased with this one. Well I am, and there is no Tsar anymore.
Location: Bottle from a trade with Nisse666

Black and clear with what I thought was a reddish tint so I must be getting old. Looked thin but it feels thick and creamy. First impression was I loved it. Drinkable and worth buying. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown to black with no head. Looks worringly thin and flat. Aroma is very unique with big noted of chocolate, licorice, and brandy or cherry. Something salty on the nose like black bean sauce. Flavor is nice with a chocolate Good n' Plenty flavor. A little thin but carbonation seems about right. Sloght bitterness lingers. Decent stout but there is better stuff out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As with the half version, this was very flat. No head at all. The beer tasted similar. Very little carbonation. A complete disappointment with both of these and a waste of money.

330 ml bottle. Thin latte-colored head on a nearly black body. Taste associates with burnt popcorn och saltiness. Taste is complex, well balanced with a nice roasted finish without the harsch burnt notes.

(25cl bottle) Courtesy of Blomster in a trade. Pours a thin, quick dissipating brown frothy head atop a black body. Nose of soya sauce and molasses, somewhat burnt. Nice roasty nuts and burnt pot-bottom flavour base, thick and mildly carbonated on the palate. Very robust - actually hard to believ this is only 9.5% abv, I would have expected closer to 10.5-11%. Very drinkable but when drinking alone its nice to have an easily consumable 250ml bottle. Thanks Christer!
