Bottle at DLD. Sorry I don’t remember who you were but a thousand thanks! I actually preferred the regular Idjit! to the Perfect, go figure. Pours a deep brown-black with a tan head. Nose has a certain abbey type quality that I can only equate to a lot of European Imperial Stouts. Much more fruity than the American styles. Light coffee and mulberry notes with some leather and licorice. The carbonation was good by the time I had this, but I could see it supporting a high CO2 level. On taste, I really appreciate the leather and berry notes. Feels very rounded and tasty. Pretty solid Imperial Stout, much in line with de Molen or Nogne O.

courtesy of Per - dark black coloured with a poor head retention; aroma of cold coffee, licorice and black cherries; fairly roasted; very tasty and full-bodied, a solid sweetness and a strong bitterness on top of it; quite high carbonation, light residual sugars and a very long roasted coffeish and black chocolatey aftertaste - beautiful

25cL bottle, courtesy of blomster. Thanks, Christer! Pours a deep, dark oily-brown color; thin, mixed-bubbled light tan head with light retention and lacing. Layers of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and light roast in the aroma; nice nuttiness with a slight show of alcohol; dense and endearing. Medium-full body; relaxed carbonation; well-integrated alcohol. Loads of nutty, oily milk and dark chocolate, and some roasted malts; nicely dense, oily, viscous, and satisfying without harsh edges of any roughness; tasty imperial stout. Lasting finish showing nuttiness, chocolate, lingering roastiness; balanced ending.

Pours very dark, substantial hop aromas -- lightly herbal, floral, dark chocolate roastiness, touch of anise, hint of vanilla, very clean flavors with little oxidation, medium low effervescence. Sharp brilliant flavors that I quite enjoy. Might do even better with some mellowing and homogenizing of flavors. A star of a quality night. Thanks, Ken!

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours dark brown (nearly black) with a small, creamy, tan head. The rich, luxurious bouquet is of fudge, chocolate, more fudge and a rumor of peanut butter fudge. I love all varieties of fudge. Medium to full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The well-balanced flavor is very roasty, chocolaty and lightly acidic. Finishes with a final blast of fudge, chocolate syrup and bittersweet roastiness. Thanks to 50belair for sharing this world class rarity!
