3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Systembolaget, enjoyed june 21st 2013. All black body, no head, though a good carbonation. Aroma is very roasty with chocolate and herbs. The roasted malt is doing a heavy impact on the taste too, lots of strong coffee, light chocolate, and salt licorice. High bitterness, with the roasted malt leaving a robust roasty aftertaste.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a near-black deep brown body with a small light beige head. Nose is roasted bread, dark chocolate, black berries and hints of salty licorice and tar. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, ashes, tar and hints of herbal licorice and burnt toast. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. A nice imperial stout on the "burnt side of things", but I prefer the 1/2 Idjit, actually.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUL 20, 2013 Not to much aroma, but some coffee and leather. Sexy black appearance with nice brown foam. The taste hits me in middle/back of the mouth with coffee, some vanilla, chocolate and some mild carbonation. Moves backwards in mouth with mild hop bitterness before opening like you have swallowed something big.Nice full bodied, almost oily palate. Overall a nice balanced beer, but nothing i will remember.UPDATE: Tastes way better near room temperature

Nice creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly neutral and roasted, dark malts, coffee, chocolate, caramel, nuts, a hint of unripe banana. Taste is balanced, roasted dark malts, burnt caramel, hay, cocoa, toast, dark sugar, grass, coffee, a hint of unripe banana. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mouthfeel. Fair enough, but nothing really special about it.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
17/04 Anther ogivlado’s 0.33 l bottle, great thanks for sharing! It poured typical pitch black body with medium sized head. Wonderful roasted malt aroma, straightforward with coffee, some fine cocoa, real chocolate, touched with burnt sugar. Sweetish flavor, of course the same - roasted malt, coffee and cocoa being dominating and going towards bitter at first then again blended with the secondary sweetness that is prolonged well into its long finish. Marko and I picked some tobacco as well there. Full bodied, creamy on palate. Almost chewable, really tasty imperial stout.
