3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
33cl bottle from Angst as a bonus :) Black with a nice a mocha head that gradually fades to a thin layer. Some roasted and sweet malts, bakers chocolate, some expresso, some smoke. Full body, mild carbonation, bit of alcohol, slightly charred malt, sweet at first then a nice roasty bitterness that becomes quite dry. Really like this one.

Bottle. Mahogany nearing on black hue, thin tan head. Chocolate nibs, alight coffe and prunes in the aroma. Dark chocolate, ice coffee, prune sweetness, malted milk and slight caramel. Medium to thick body with low carbonation.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours black with low disapoearing off white head
Nice fresh aromas of coffee beans, dark fruits (blueberries?), chocolate malts, biscuits, cocoa
Nice! Almost coffee powdery, nice dark fruityness, great bitterness from the chocolate malts. However a wee bit too watery. Overall one of the best swedish beers ive had!

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Smells wonderful and good. Tastes good but it feels like something is missing with this beer. Clearly one of the best beers I drank. The aftertaste is good and remains very long. Buy this beer now!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Roasted malts, coffee beans, dark chocolate, raisins in the aroma. Roasted flavours, not that sweet at all. Small bitterness and some alcohol in the aftertaste. Medium/low carbonation. Since the body is kinda thin the beer is easy to drink.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. I don’t see ounces listed. 16.9? Best before July 2013. Pours impenetrable black with brown edges. Has a small beige head that falls into a collar after a minute or two. Aroma is chocolatey, roasted malts, espresso, raisins, licorice. Taste is bittersweet with licorice being the dominant flavor along with all the other aroma descriptors a little less prominent. Mouthfeel is oily and the carbonation is a little lower than I’d like. Serviceable, but nothing special. Addendum: the guy who rated this below me described exactly what I was thinking about the body but couldn’t quite put into words myself: it’s lifeless.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
In short: A strange black ale with awkward spciness and other strange stuff. Amateurish
How: Bottle 500ml (I think it is 500ml), consumed 1.5 month after purchase, but if you add the long boat ride to get to north-america it was only moderately fresh
The look: Black body topped by a beige ring of foam
In long: Nose is medium roasted, sweet and spicy notes like some kind of alcoholised dessert, notes of black Sambuca. Taste is strange, very grainy with a sensation of crushed brownies, red liquorice candy, anise, spicy hard candy, roast, overcooked watery caramel. Minimal hops presence. Minimal carbonation and the body feels a bit lifeless, like some kind of thick fruit juice. And also the anise-like spiciness just didn’t work here. Felt like an amateurish beer with a bunch of stuff thrown in without much planning hoping that the end-result would work. Basically this is almost a copy-and-paste of my rating for their Imperial Porter called 1/2 Idjit!. The Imperial Porter appeared more hoppy but overall I found the strange awkward spiciness and black Sambuca notes in both bottles. I feel like it is yeast-related but I’m not sure. Whatever it is, there is something that doesn’t work with me at all with these Dugges beers, not sure I’ll buy another one. Maybe when I’m in Sweden as these strange off-flavors may be due to the storage condition during the long boat ride. And I think I know what I’m talking about when I say that ending a word with a ‘!’ without a good reason is a pathetic desperate attempt to draw attention!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 29, 2012 Flaska från SB. Nästan svart med mörk gul/orange skumkrona. Doft av rostad malt. Smak av detsamma men även lite nötter. Ovanligt bra "kolsyra" för en öl av den här typen.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
50cl bottle, best by July 2013: Pours a mostly opaque black with a spotty-lacing beige head. Has a sweet toasty dark caramel malty nose with lots of dark chocolate and roasty coffee. Starts with good fullness and rich chewy dark malty sweetness swimming in dark chocolate with good roasted malty balance before a slightly drier bittersweet finish. True to style, complex and enjoyable.
