Bottle 250ml.

Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate burnt malt, light chocolate, licorice notes. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, coffee, dark dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20101122]

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of expresso coffee and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of expresso coffee and chocolate, leading to a dry alcoholic finish, where the expresso note lingers.

25 cL bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and dark chocolate. Smooth dark chocolate, liqourice too. Rich malt flavoured. Light fruity hops note coming through. Ends dry and dark roasted malty, rather rich. Ends dry and malty. Lasting liqourice flavour.

Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Pours black with a vague orange hue and a small beige head. Hard roast malt in the nose with some vinous dark fruits. Solid body, sweet hard roast vanilla and dark dried fruits. Very subdued hops. Pleasant and yummy indeed. 221110

Bottled. Black colour, smal head. Aroma is liquorice, some alcohol, mild wooden notes as well as some slight vanilla, tobacco and slight roasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same, with the liquorice being the strongest element. Lovely Imperial Stout!

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Very black, beige creamy head. Grainy aniseed aroma. Fairl dry with full body and dense mouthfeel. Grainy malt and licorice, notes of coffee and vanilla. Concentrated flavour, but surprisingly dry and drinkable. Really nice!

Bottle at Papsø. Dark brown coloured with a small beige head. Sweet and roasted aroma of oat and dark chocolate with notes of coffee. Sweet and roasted flavour of dark chocolate with notes of coffee and roasted bread. Sweet and roasted finish. Nice.

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty thick chocolate aroma. Roasted malty bitter chocolate flavor with hints of coffee. Has a long roasted malty coffee and chocolate finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Black color; beige head, creamy. The aroma shows at first burnt malts, burnt bread; later the aroma becomes more interesting, more refined, with some alcohol too. Good body structure, and smooth mouthfeel; good mix of dark chocolate and roasted malts, strong tar impression, very light vanilla and liquorice; correct bitterness; the final doesn’t exceed in the roastiness, while the alcohol is maybe too much evident. A very good one.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, milk chocolate, coffee, fruity notes, coconut, vanilla and hops. Nice and sweet.
