COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall an ok Oatmeal Stout, but it could have been done much better.

Palme (3311) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 17, 2011
0.5l bottle @ Schoukjelleren, Oslo. This is a near black beer with a thin sidesticking khaki head. The aroma has licorice, dark yeast, hints of banana and old shoes. Strange stuff. It has a soft carbonation level and a oily mouthfeel. Flavors are both smoky and licorice-rich. Tones of dark smoky light roasted sweet malts and perhaps some thin coffee notes as well. Strange stuff, and I’m not really sure if I really liked this, but it was drinkable.
