Draught@SBWF2008. Deep brown colour, no head. Aroma is coffee, hops and mild peat. Flavour is fruits, some slight sour yeastyness, mild coffeeish and chocolateish notes. Yet very balanced. Aftertaste is mainly coffee and wood. Nicely balanced and rather sweet in the finish.

Flaske 0,5l fra Systembolaget i Kiruna. Dukket hjemme 12 Sep 11. Svart. Luftig svakt farget skum som varer en stund. Svakt røstet aroma med innslag av kaffe. Lite kullsyre. Smaken som aromaen med tillegg av lakris. Lett drikkelig. Tørr fruktig ettersmak. Mye bunnfall.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Roasted malt coffee wood earth aroma. Mild roasted malt coffee liquorice flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Short aftertaste. A bit thin bodied.

Black of color with a foamy beige head. An aroma of roasted malt, prunes, raisins, wet cereal and cold, old coffee. a falvor of roasted malt, cereal, liqurice, bitter and dry in the finish.

Trade with Enjoyit. 50cl. Bottle. Pours black with a small off white head. Ashy, dusty and roasted nose and flavor. Vaguely acidic malty flavor. Coffee and caramel. Medium bodied.

Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2008. Black color with creamy tan head. Sweetish aroma with coffee and charcoal. Dryer flavor with coffee, charcoal, firm bitterness, grassy and vinous roastiness. Charcoal finish. Good basic stout.

Black stout with minimal beige head. Strong, roasted aroma. Charred barley with chewy oat flavor and milk chocolate. Sweetish in the middle, finishes slightly sour and quite coffeyish. Light bitterness and some raisiny fruitiness in the finish. Medium body, oily and quite flat texture. Quite pleasant and easy to drink.

Bottle. Black with brown foam. Chocolate, coffee, roasty, floral, vanilla, Taste is feels damped by perhaps the use of oat and gives a higher sweetness then what U would expect. Medium body, creamy, soft carbonation and abrupt finish. Pretty boring.

Poured from bottle, pours a murky brown with a thin tan fizzy head that diminishes quickly, aroma is sweet with nice touches of chocolate, the mouthfeel is fairly light and has decent flavors of chocolate and caramel, not bad.

Dugges Kalas är som en pingvin. Bara för att det är en fågel behöver det inte betyda att den kan flyga. Det är snudd på att Kalas är mer ale än stout...och pingviner är ju trots allt fiskar...i frack.
