500 mL bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA on 4/29/11. Pours a clear copper with a medium frothy tan head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of big citrus and floral hops with a malty finish. The taste is citrus and resiny hops with some candied citrus and toffee. Medium-full bodied. A bit on the sweet side, but quite good.

bottle... light copper with a dark orange hue, light tan head rises about three fingers stays awhile... nose is really light, pineapple with bready sugar cookie, ok, wish more was going on... the taste is light too, sweet pineapple malt water, sweet overall and easy to drink, no hops, alcohol totally hidden... good one to get you messed up quick, but don’t get it expecting a typical di[pa

Let me begin by saying the bottle I drank made it’s way all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. Since this is a DIPA the hops bailed a long time ago. Therefore this is not fair representation this ale. I need to revisit it again in a Swedish bar....

(bottle from Bruery Provisions). Pours dark copper color with small tan head. Aroma had some bread, caramel and muted citrus. Taste was semi-sweet with barely perceptible bitterness. Medium bodied with oily texture. Unpleasant finish. This bottle had to be past its prime and it was not very good.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, floral hops, and a hint of alcohol. Flavor is the same with just a little bit of some alcohol warming. Not too much carbonation on this either.

Half liter bottle pours clear copper with thin tan head. The aroma offers up green herbal like earthy shrubbery hops followed by orange hard candy, some cherry candy and dried tangelo. Hmm. The taste has a double edged sword of bitter citrus as well as firm orange, tangelo and cherry like dried fruitiness. The citrus, herbal, green and spicy hop bitterness builds into the finish. Wow! Sweet hard candy and some decent yet inadequate (to match the sweet hop flavor notes) layers of hop bitterness. Cool brew.

Bottle. Clear orange copper pour, with a thin white head. Malt, orange peel, citrusy hops, yeast, fruity, and light caramel sweetness. Moderately interesting for a DIPA, but I wouldn’t drink it again.

Lemony hop aromas. Sweet malts and cirtus. Great balance. Overall a very good DIPA.

Pours a fading beige head with a deep golden body. Aromas of grain, tropical fruit, and honey. Flavor is slightly tropical and cotton candy. Finish is not bitter or dry, flavor lasts a bit. Alcohol is hidden well.

A nice ruby red color, aka not an IPA appearance, but it looks pretty. Sweet caramel malt, a modestly hoppy beer (classic citrus west coast hops) that tastes more like a decent amber than a double IPA. Not overwhelmingly impressed by these guys so far.
