2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 markwise (3806) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - JUN 8, 2011Thanks to IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours clear orange amber with a white head. Nose is orange, some malt, sour orange, and some strange yeast. Flavor is similar- strange syrupy orange/ sour orange quality. Medium-bodied and ok.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Scipio (490) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - FEB 7, 2013
Pours a very cloudy amber color with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet. I get lots of caramel and apple right away, followed by grapefruit, lemon, peach, and a bit of alcohol. The taste is heavier on the malt. Caramel comes out most here, but there is some balance with grapefruit and apple. But the caramel malt really dominates. Citrus and fruity aftertaste is subtle, but it does last a long time. The texture isn’t nearly as heavy as you would think, and I would actually lean towards being more light. Carbonation seems more flat. The alcohol content is noticed quickly here. This is a very unusual beer for this style. I enjoyed it. However, I got a little tired of the maltiness the more I drank it. I would have enjoyed it more if it was a more traditional IPA/Double IPA.

This was a slightly disappointing beer from the first pour. There was almost no head and it had a slightly oily texture. Admittedly, it has a very nice balance of hoppy sweetness.
2.2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Reynolds314 (1480) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 4, 2012
This beer smells absolutely revolting like sweaty gym socks and bad cheese. It looks like muddy water in a glass and tastes ok. Fairly high bitterness with medium sweetness and a taste of wet leaves thats not good. This beer is one of the worst.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ernesto987 (2375) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 2, 2012
The same flavor as all the other European iPas, huge flower flavors, at least this one isn’t overly sweet
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 glennmastrange (1888) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JUN 26, 2012
Bottle. Moderate roasted note for themalt, heavy pine for the hops, moderate soapy cheese for the yeast, with background notes of raisin, date, cherry, toffee, solvent and rosemary. Head is small, fizzy, off-white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is hazy copper. Falvor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily with a lightly astringent and moderately alcoholic and chewy finish. Nice impact of dried fruit in the aroma, justa touch off in the flavor for a DIPA.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 nick76 (4077) - Tampa, Florida, USA - MAY 30, 2012
The aroma is beautifully hoppy with citrus, herbs, and hay. The malt is there too. The appearance is amber. The taste is like the aroma and bitter sweet. The palate is typical for the style. Overall a nice beer.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Rrauth (637) - North Carolina, USA - MAY 2, 2012
Bottle. Pours amber with nice full head. Can't place aroma at all. Must use a kind of hops I'm not familiar with as much. Some sweetness with nice bitter notes. Interesting take on the style. Caramel comes through. This beer could use a dry hopping to get it to finish like a dipa.

Pour is a dark copper with a small white head. Aroma is a very nice piney hop with a caramel base malt. Flavor is a way sweet malt with a decent but not overpowering hop profile. Finish is again a very sweet malt on the tounge. I did get this outta the bargan bin but the hops were still showing up, it’s just a little too sweet to move this into a higher rating.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 4, 2012
UPDATED: APR 3, 2012 From the 3/2012 3R6P tasting. My first beer from this brewery and I have to say that I was not impressed. +++ Sampled from a 16 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark caramel color with a medium sized creamy off white head. The aroma was sugar, fruity and tangy hops, dish soap, chalk, Pez candies and bubblegum. The flavor was tangy and sweetish Sweettart candies, Pez candies and chalk. The finish was long, dry tart and chalky. Medium body. Disappointing and in no way resembles a double IPA.
