COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Här har vi låtit vår potenta hjärtevärmare "Idjit!" mogna några månader på ekfat för att ta upp dess runda form i aromen. Trä- och vaniljtoner från fatet fullbordar perfektionen. Avnjutes i små glas med måtta.

Thanks to the friend that got me this one! Pours a midnight obsidian color with a thin, tan head. Nose is roasted malts, big chocolate, some vanilla, marshmallow, oak, and fudge. Flavor is similar: big chocolate, some oak, some vanilla, and bits of fudge with a light hit of alcohol. This one was a great imperial stout and worth the wait. Medium in body and lingering chocolate in the finish.

Big thanks to markwise for saving this wonderful brew for the GABF Friday brewery tour bus shingid. It pours a murky brackish mahogany with a thin mocha colored head. The aroma is big with chocolate brownie, molasses and rich fudge goodness. Heavens no, what the hell is this!! The taste is just as ridiculously rich and yummy with soft moist chocolate brownie goodness (you almost need a cool glass of milk to go along with this), dark to a sliver of burnt maltiness and then molasses covered real butter backed chocolate fudge. Behind all that goodness lurks a bit of booze and faint smooth barrel notes. Good gravy. I need a napkin to wipe the chocolate off my face.

In short: A chocolaty woody BA stout. Typical example of the style. Above average quality.
How: Bottle 250ml at Tre Små Rum, at Göteborg Sweden. Almost exactly one year before expiration date
The look: Near black body topped by a tan ring of foam
In long: Nose has plenty of barrels, burnt chocolate cake, toasted tobacco. Taste is viscous blackened malts, medium barrels presence, rich bakery black chocolate, a bit of booze, some vanilla, distant fruity notes. Carbonation is on the very soft side. The beer doesn’t feel too sweet at all, actually quite easy to drink for the style. A good beer but with so many BA stouts out there this one doesn’t really stand out, actually it is a very uneventful example of the style that gets some bonus points for good drinkability. So I’m rating this rare retired beer and all I can show for it is a rating on ratebeer, I’m really starting to think none of my opinion about a beer will ever deserve a press conference.

Lots of dried fruit, rum, port, roasted malts. Oily, low carbonation. Tastes like 12-13%, but very well balanced. Fantastic imperial stout!

Big beer, tiny bottle. Markwise with a major share! Black, with a brown head. Roast, booze, plums, dark chocolate, raisins. Wonderful beer.

Tiny bottle thanks to the party bus crew! Pours a pure black color with a tiny bubble of head. A big sweet bourbon nose. The flavor is full of coca, coffee, vanilla, viscous oil, big bourbon. Damn good.

25cl bottle poured into a red wine glass. Pours black with a very small brown cap. Aroma is massive oak, dark chocolate, and some alcohol. Predominant flavor is oak in the beginning, with strong cocoa throughout. Carbonation is very modest. Mouthfeel is very smooth. Finish is lasting, oak initially, then sour cherry, finally lasting dark chocolate. Wow, what an amazing, complex brew. This imperial stout is amazing.

25cl bottle. Blk with no head. Medium syrupy body but lacking carbonation. Lots of sediment in the last few sips. Taste is Sweet fudge and some coffee with a little alcohol heat. tasty but the sediment and carbonation level detract.

250ml Bottle (Tre Små Rum, Göteborg) - Black with a small tan head. Leather, liquorice and Bournville chocolate in the aroma. Rich and vinous taste with coffee, liquorice, roasted malt and leather. Rich, indulgent and very tasty.

Bottle, shared at 3 Små Rum, July 20th 2012 Pitch black in color, with a reamy light brown head. Bulky pea-sized yeast sediments floating around. Strong roasty aroma, with chocolate, liqourice, wood. Taste is quite good, coffee, dark fruits, vanilla, burned wood, leather. Only negative thing is the big yeast "balls", they really bring the beer down. I don’t usually mind yeast sediments, but here there’s just too much. A shame, cause otherwise it is a wonderful really enjoyable beer that would easyly get a higher score from me.
