Wonderful fragrance. The taste is really wonderful. The aftertaste is left a little while. There’s something special about this beer. I can not really describe. But it was really good anyway.

Pours very dark brown with a beautiful red garnet color where the light can get through. Tall tan head. Red nosed reindeer on the bottle for the Christmas season.
Sweet nutty aroma, some cocoa powder.
The flavor is sweet on the front with a roast malt bitterness that comes in next. Some dry chalkiness in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Raisin, fig, overall sweetness in a dark ale. Not heavy like a porter but very much a winter seasonal with spices. Nice.

500 ml bottle. Aroma of fresh, dark bread, a bit sooty. Roasted malts, butterscotch and caramel. Taste of dates, dried fruits, roasted malts (a bit burnt). Nice bitterness in the aftertaste.

Mörkt brun öl med röda stänk. Beige skum. Doften har framförallt inslag av rostning, malt och kaffe. I smaken dominerar istället anis och mörk kola. Lätta inslag av kaffe. Smakrik.

Bottle @ Home, courtesy of Aaron, Thanks. Pours very dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark fruits, redwine, wood. Flavor is malt, caramel, dark fruits, spices, licorice, woodnotes. Thin body, flat carbonation. Way to thin for the style imo. 110712

Bottle @ Rene’s house, courtesy of a generous Swedish trader. Deep reddish brown appearance with a tan head. Spicy, spruce, ginger, anise, dark chocolate, somewhat boozy nose. Thin, dark berry, wood, ginger, minty, dark chocolate flavor. Seemed a bit flat to me. Ok.

Botella de 500ml. Copa Globo. Saboreada en ene´12. Color caoba claro. Capa beige con burbuja media y bastante Buena retención. Aromas de maltas tostadas dulces y trazos de chocolate, vainilla y canela. Sabor malteado con sutil especiado subyacente. Cuerpo y carbonatación medios. Final amargo y seco con notas de frutos secos.
500ml bottle. Snifter glass. Enjoyed on jan´12. Light mahogany in color. Beige, medium bubbled head. Fairly good retention. Sweet toasted malt aromas, hints of chocolate, vanilla & cinnamon. Malty flavor with subtle spiced underneath. Medium body, medium carbonation. Dry bitter finish. Dried nuts hues.

Medium to small light brown head, changes pretty quick into a light brown lacing on top of a murky dark brown colored beer.
Smell oatmeal, liquorice, roasted barleys, something soapy.
Taste toffee, roasted malts and roasted barleys, oatmeal, hint of coffee, darker herbs and candy, caramel, medium bitter, not sweet at all.
Roasted herrby light roasted barley light coffee aftertaste.
Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium to fuller body, watery texture.
