COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours dark reddish brown with a big beige head that leaves lots of soapy lacing on the glass. Smell is malty with dark bread, toasted cereal, hay, roasted malts, coca cola and subtle hints of alcohol. Taste is very sweet and malty with toasted malts, dark bread, golden syrup, caramel, coca cola, brown sugar, hay and soil. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, round, tiny cloying and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny bitter with sweet dark bread, toasted cereal, leather, hay and caramel. Way too sweet... I remember this as good when I first tried it many years ago. This bottle was either too old or just plain bad.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Dark brown body, beige head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, dark fruit and ash. More hocolate and licorice in taste, with plums, raisins, with a slightly sweet caramel finish. Medium bitterness, with a piney hop taste, and a warm lasting chocolate aftertaste. A very nice brew.

Wonderful fragrance. The taste is really wonderful. The aftertaste is left a little while. There’s something special about this beer. I can not really describe. But it was really good anyway.

Thanks to blomster my Secret Santa for this one! Pours very dark brown with a beautiful red garnet color where the light can get through. Tall tan head. Red nosed reindeer on the bottle for the Christmas season. Sweet nutty aroma, some cocoa powder. The flavor is sweet on the front with a roast malt bitterness that comes in next. Some dry chalkiness in the finish.

500 ml bottle. Raisin, fig, overall sweetness in a dark ale. Not heavy like a porter but very much a winter seasonal with spices. Nice.

Mörkt brun öl med röda stänk. Beige skum. Smakrik.
