Clear medium to dark amber brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee. Bottled. A deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and nuts. The flavor is sweet yet with a slight acidic edge and notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of dusty hops and over ripe fruits, leading to dry and lightly spicy finish.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and light chocolate with a light spice note. Medium drymalty flavoured, roasted and breadish with a light chocolate edge. Light spiced and nice roasted malt flavoured finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of joergen. Called "Dugges Rudolf Ren Ale" - this is vintage 2010. Pours a cloudy and opaque dark brown with a beige head. Sweet hard roasted malt and vanilla. Solid body, sweet hard roast malt, vanilla and dark fruits. A little malt bitterness with a sweet licorice touch. Pleasant. 301110

Draught@SBWF2010. Very deep brown colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is coffee, some chocolate, slight ashes, mild roasted notes. Also some plum and sweetish malty notes. Flavour is coffee, chocolate, some sweet malts as well as mild notes of bitterness.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. Mahogany colour, small head. Orangey nose with mild earthiness behind. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. There’s earthy malt, orange, salt and herbal spices as well as mild honeyish notes. A near full bodied warming offering with good balance.

Copenhagen Beer Festival, 2011. Pours dark brown nearly black with a small white head. Dust, roast, fruit and spices. Medium bodied. Well made.

Dark mahogany color with red shades; creamy brownish head. Very nice aroma, delicate coffee, light hop, light ashes. Good body, rich chocolate flavor, light liquorice. Correct bitterness, a bit drier at the end. Balanced, and very pleasant if you want a chocolate beer.

Bottle, KØ11. Roasted aroma, a little spicy. Some aniseed. Dark brown colour. Mildly roasted flavour with a bit of aniseed. OK balanced, but not perfectly.
