3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled from Biernavigatie.nl. Dark brown colored, brown head. Lots of wood in aroma, vanilla, smoke, some malts. Malty flavor, initially quite sweet, later on some wood, finishing quite bitter. Lasting finish. I like the wood-flavor, but the bock itself doesnít taste that special. Still, not a bad try.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a large, light brown, creamy head that mostly diminishes. Body is flat black but sparkles are visible. Aroma contains dark chocolate, coffee, pine, citrus fruits, cherry, smoke, clove, licorice and toasted and roasted malts. Flavor starts of light acidic with fruits and sweet, quickly followed by heavy licorice and light smoked malts, to be completed by bitterness from hops and light fruits. Flavors last long. Palate is medium, texture is silky. Carbonation is soft and adds to the silky feeling. This is a nice smoked bock with a pleasant feel. Not spectecular, but very decent.

Quite decent and interesting brew. Wondering when Duits&Lauret will start brewing themselves.
