Bottle @home from Mitra in Haarlem. Fantastic Bock! I love the slight smoke taste in combination with te typical bock bitterness. One of the best bock beers tasted so far this year.

On tap. Very subtle smoke flavour. I was afraid that it would dominate too much, but it didn’t. Good, traditional Dutch "bok". Quite light ruby coloured. Round and sweet. Very happy with it!

On tap at the 2014 Oregon Brewers Fest. Colour...deep, golden-amber with a thin off white head. Nose...imagine lightly smoked dark toffee! The malt is quite evident, as it should be with a doppelbock, and there’s an oaky smokiness as well. Palate... A big burst of malt hits the palate from the start and maintains its presence throughout! The smokiness is here too but does not overpower the palate, nor distract from the flavours of caramel and fresh biscuit. The finish is lengthy and quite malty with wisps of oak and smoke. This is singularly the finest beer of this style, I have ever had! Thank you for sharing this at the OBF!

Dark amber, medium creamy beige head. Definite smoke here, or bacon. Earthy, plums. Nice and not overdone. Balanced taste, malty, roasty focus. Good brew, fairly easily drinkable, even with the smoke and malty base. Everything seems to be in balance then while providing a solid, light sweet and definitely pleasant taste. Could match the German competition for me. Very nice to see this from a Dutch brewer too! (On tap at Kafe België)

Quite smokey beer with a body of sweet roasted malt. Thingling aftertaste. One of the better bock beers.
