COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

Rund malziger Antrunk mit dezenten Röstnoten. Weiterhin würzig, dezente Herbe. Leicht schokoladig, zum Ende milder, etwas trocken. Gut! 9/10/9/8/8/9

Draught @ In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Vintage 2010.
Pours a black colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and grains. Flavour of roasted malts, sweet caramel, tobacco, licorice, dried plums and raisins. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finish is rather mellow sweet and malty. Aging seems to work.

Bottle@Home. Chocolate and blackcurrant aroma. Black, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, light bitter, chocolate, hints of coffee and blackcurrant. Not too flavourful but well balanced and easy. More Belgian than English.

Clear very dark brown to black beer, creamy beige head, unstable, pretty adhesive. Aroma: lots of chocolate, mocha, somewhat metallic, sweet caramelly touch. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: some caramel, mocha, bit metallic, lots of dark chocolate, some coffee. Aftertaste: chocolate, bit metallic, mocha, pretty dry hoppy ending.

Bottle. Black pour, tan head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts and some ash. Flavor is dry, roasted bitterness. Decent body but a bit one-dimensional. More like a porter.
