Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2013 0,33l fles thuis, diep zwartbruine kleur met een mooie beige schuimkraag. Geen bezinksel of gist in de fles aanwezig. Espressotonenen en gebrand mout, minimale creme tonen. Afdronk redelijk, vooral bitter. Body is gezien de ABV goed. Geen absolute topper, maar wel een goede stout.

Tap at the Den Haag festival 2013. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt leading to a medium bitter, liqourice flavour with a little alcohol and some dark chocolate.

Pleasant roasty malt aroma with some coffee in there too. Texture quite smooth with just a light carbonation. Flavour is well balanced. The bitterness is not overpowering and the finish is quite smooth.

On tap at bierfestival groningen. Intensiv kaffeeartiger Geruch. Antrunk kaffeemalzig, röstig. Mitte umschwenkend in Richtung Frucht (Weintraube, reife Banane). Schokoladiger Abgang, bitter-trocken. Echt gut.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2013) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with chocolate, dark bread and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, caramel, dark bread and gentle coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and nice stout.

Draught @ In De Wildeman, Amsterdam. Vintage 2010.
Pours a black colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and grains. Flavour of roasted malts, sweet caramel, tobacco, licorice, dried plums and raisins. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finish is rather mellow sweet and malty. Aging seems to work.
