Clear dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, coffee notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100612]

Bottle. Good roasted aroma, coffee, chocolate. Seemingly cloudy dark brown colour, red shine. Good roasted flavour. Nice coffee note with a bit of smoke. Very good. A bit thin mouthfeel, but does not seem like a high ABV either, so well done.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head, Aroma is phenolic, dark malty, roasted and slight yeasty fruity. Mild ashtray like, vague coffee and chocolate. Bitter, roasted and dark malty flavoured. Light liqourice note. Dry and bitter finish.

A pretty small beige foamy head.
Smell some coffee, chocolate and roasted ingredients.
Very dark color to almost black (the classic stout look).
Taste a lot of dark and roasted ingredients; coffee, chocolate, hint of nuts, hint of licorice, hint of caramel. The hops and bitternes are well covered with the before mentioned ingredients. A very nice new Dutch stout.
