Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

Very black, brown head. Not as only as expected. Cacao, cream, toast. Not too pronounced. Balanced bitterness throughout. Not as smooth as some stouts but sure brings enough flavour. (Tasted at Utrechts Bierbrouwersfestival)

Draught@Cafe Belgique, Utrecht. Dark russet looks with a middling beige head. Nose was malt driven with some roasted coffee notes. Similar yarn in the taste which was sweetish and revealed some dark fruits and chocolate also. Dryish finish. Straightforward and tasty stout.
