COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Duits & Lauret Stout is a very complex, dark and full-bodied beer. A beer to really take your time for in order to enjoy and experience its rich and complex flavour. An aroma of coffee and dark chocolate can easily be discerned. Roasted accents and a slight bitterness are typical of this beer. The stout combines wonderfully well with oysters or spicy dishes, and certainly with desserts in which chocolate or dried fruits have been used as ingredients.

Bottle @ Beer, Bocce and Boozer tasting. Deep brown color with a modest, creamy tan head. The aroma’s of dark grape, balsamic vinegar, charred wood. The taste is toasty, vinous. Quite sweet. Some bitter chocolate. The mouthfeel’s a bit thin. Soft carbonation. Overall, quite pleasant.

Bottle from de Mitra in Gorinchem. The beer is dark and chocolate brown but just not black and pours a large cream colored head. The aroma has tones of dark chocolate and coffee. The taste is roasted malts and a nice bitterness from the coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is long with a nice and pleasant bitterness.

Pitch black beer, so dark I don’t even see highlights. Nice dark head. Smell is coffee and milk chocolate. Marshmallows. Touch of alcohol. Taste is bitter coffee mixed with a leather saltiness. Nice balance. Dry astringent finish. Get a touch of peels at the end with suggestions of fruits, but very subtle.

educational courtesy of bartlebier, thank you! faint aromas of toasted bread, rum raisins, dried plums, more toast, and distinctive, complex roasted malt flavours, light on the palate, almost a bit watery to my taste. Long, subtle malty finish, with some pumpernickel edges.

Mooi bijna zwarte stout met een mooie creme-kleurige kraag. Zachte smaak met rooktonen en chocola en caramel. Prettige bittere nasmaak. Prettige stout derhalve.
