Bottle. Pours a dark brown, black with a decent, dark-latte colored head. Aroma is a strong liquorice, salty liquorice, some roast and light coffee. Taste is very dry. Roast and coffee are stronger, liquorice less so. Fairly light with fairly high carbonation.

If a Dutch would have to describe this taste in one word (or two), he would name it a ’Haags Hoppje’, a famous Dutch sweet. And it’s exactly that. A little licorice, some hop bitterness and a sweet-dry aftertaste. It’s good, could be dryer for a stout, though. Maybe not the very true to the style stout, but still a very good one.
