Brown with rich but fastly dissappearing yellow head. Too sweet taste, with some sour notes and some bitterness later. Quite "flat" in terms of carbonation.

Donker bruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en zoet, caramel, anijs en drop. Gewoon een erg lekker bier.

Bottle. 8.0%. Best before 09.11.14. Pours a murky amber; fair amount of sediments. Diminishing light tan head, with just a bit of lacing. (Dark) fruity aroma, sweetish with a light molasses note, slightly acidic, yeast, and a fledgling note of coconut. A bit cloying, but decent enough. Takes on a bit of a cognac-resemblance as it warms. Flavour is dark fruits, with a light yeast note, and just a hint of coconut. Malt and a touch of hops as it warms. Dark fruit finish, somewhat grainy, with a lingering alcohol burn and a grassy note. Overall okay. 04.11.14.

Dark brown with a beige head. Dark malts, some hops, bit earthy. Taste is big in chocolate, Malts, good carbonation, some hop bitterness present. Bit of a sweet finish, but all in all not lasting. Ok brown one.

Mooi bruine kleur, creme kleurige kraag die rap weg trekt, bijna geen geur behalve wat metaal. Smaak is mooi rond en romig. Mooie chocoladetoetsen, wat metaalsmaak. Klein beetje gebrand. Mooi romige smaak.

Bottle at Rootz at the Harbour, Scheveningen. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken white head. The aroma is sweet malt, red berry fruit, some yeast. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a crisp rich malt, cherry fruit palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A real sweetie and I’m sweet enough already!

cereal, chocolate, brown, clear, minimal head, medium sweetness, light body, average carbonation, tastes a bit like so called "Tafelbier", nothing to special.
