3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 reakt (948) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 Bottle from Utobeer. Very regal in appearance. Dark raisin brown in colour with creamy off white head. Nose of malted bread, raisins and brown sugar with suprising fruit hints - mango, grape and pear. Flat and subdued flavour of malts, coffee and bread. Overly sweet with too little bite. Short, watery finish. Disappointing on its own, but probably a good accompaniment to a Sunday roast.

UPDATED: MAY 25, 2005 re-rate: Orange, yeast and perfume aroma. Light sweet, light bitter, light sour, orange and a hint of caramel. Very this finish. Not bad but not much going on as well.12-15-2003, 2.8: Faint dusty aroma. Hazy, red/brown color, light brown frothy head, good lace. Light sweet, quite neutral, dusty, light cherry, dirt, medium body. Maybe Boon added some alcohol but removed the flavors. I liked the Vanderlinden version much more.
