33 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity hopy. Dry wheaty and slight malty too. Solid milky and citric flavoured. Bitter and milky wheaty flavoured finish. Stunning that this could go off.

Well, boys and girls, this definitely was NOT a weizenbock in its characteristics. It had flavors of a Belgian Pale more than anything. A decent tasting beer - just no Weizenbock characteristics whatsoever!

Bottle, 33oz. An unclear, golden-orange beer with some off-white bubbles on top. Milky-sour, citrusy nose that isn’t all bad. The flavor is very much the same, citrusy-fruity and milky sour, leading to a milky, lemony finish. Medium body, a bit more astringent than I should wish for. As faroeviking says, the name is better than the beer. 090821

1 liter swing top poured a hazy golden color. Smells of sour papayas and lemon. Flavor is eh, (i.e. bland). Palate is light bodied but does leave a rancid alcohol aftertaste.

This beer poured an almost clear, light amber color with a tan foam head from flip-top bottle. Strong sour citrusy smell arises from the beer along with malted alcohol. The flavor is not weizen at all. It has a slight wheaty flavor, but a stronger sour apricot with slight malt sweetness turning into a rather bitter finish, as if the beer sat on the hops too long while fermenting. It has a very syrupy feel to it on the palate. Kind of sticking to the tongue as it slides down the throat leaving a rather strong alcohol twing at the end. There is a nice acidity to the beer but overall not a very approachable beer on many occasions.

Bottle @ Danish Summer Gathering, 2009. Pours hazy yellow with a white head. Tart, dry, sour and dusty. Either infected or hopeless

1 liter swingtop bottle poured a hazy orange amber with a lastingamber head. Aromas of soured honey, lemon, butterscotch and wheat. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of wheat, lemon, stale nuts, and toffee with a lingering sour/sweet finish. As much as this beer sounds infected from my description, it definitly was’nt. This is just plain old bad beer! Maybe Duke should keep his Big Ass out of the brewery.

This was labeld Duke’s Dodgerhator, so the brewer either changed the name or distributes this under this name in different areas (namely NorCal?). Anyways, this beer was a mess. Aroma was horrible. It reminded me of going into the bathroom in a bar and smelling that godawful urinal smell. Appearance was nice enough with a copper color that wasn’t too dark or light, with a nice head. Mouthfeel was medium bodied. Flavor wasn’t any better than the flavor with scorched sugar and wet cardboard. Pretty horrible.
