This delicately greenish lager tastes and smells of dried nettle leaves.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Somewhat pale lime green color. Fair display of lacework. This was somewhat strange with the use of Nettle as the main ingredients. Aroma was mild spicy or pepper like, with notes of bitter hops and floral like feel. Also it felt like cold tee as one point in the tasting of the beer. Light bodied with an average carbonation and mild dry texture. Light bitter flavor with a hint of sweetness. Spicy hoppy and Nettle like finish. Quite interesting but not particular tasty for a beer.

Draught at Pivovarsky Dum. Green colour. Minty aroma. Herby flavour which hovers around nettle without ever settling firmly. Like a water down herb liquor. Grassy. Mildly bitter and antiseptic. The most interesting and successful of the flavours.

Draught at Pivorvarsky Dum. Silky mouthfeel with lots of nettles, herbs and spicey notes. Much better than I thought it would be...

Weird looking beer; greener than anything I’ve ever seen. Flavours were true to ’style’; nettles, herbs, resin-like hops, earthy spices. Might have fans but I’m not sure if it worked for me.

(Rating #1582)

Draught, Dum/Prague. Head is initially average sized, frothy, light green, mostly lasting. Body is light to medium yellowish-green. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with notes of sage/thyme, grass, and lime. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Better than expected, given its novelty. Grassy/herbal nose with a nice flavor balance that features bright tartness. Fun beer with a remarkably vibrant appearance (even the head is green!).

Draught at Pivovarsky Dum. Murky pond water green... um is this my beer? The aroma is spicy and grassy with some black pepper. The taste is.. not good. Black pepper and weird bitterness. Ick. This beer is not at all to my liking. Oh ya, and WTF is nettle? We’ve got stinging nettle back in California and it hurts a lot to run into; not the kind of thing that I would want to put in beer.

Draught. Really unique nose, herbal and spicey. Clear green with no head but slow rising carbonation. Strong pine flavor on a clean palate. High overall score for uniqueness.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear green - light green head. Fresh grass & nettle. Light pot & marujiana. Fresh, "green cabbage". Bitter finish, light carbonation. Strange & wierd but not unpleasant.

Draught at Pivovarsky Dum, Praha.
Green coloured, pale green kiwi coloured, peppery nose. Mild malty, peppery and sparkling herbal nettle aroma. Mild teasingly nettle finish. Like my friend said: I feel like a goat after browsing nettles. Certainly very interesting.
