Draught @ Pivovarsky Dum. Pours unclear dark golden with a white head. Caramel, bread, svovl and grassy hops. Very malty and smooth. Medium bodied.

Pivovarský Dům, Prága. Szalmasárga szín, tetején hófehér laza habkorona. Az illata elég jellegtelen, nagyon picit mézes, egyébként klasszikus malátás és szalmás Märzen-illat, de abból sem a legjobb. Az íze már kicsit eltérő az eddigi Märzen-ektől, amiket kóstoltam, ez az édeskés malátás íz nem tud kibontakozni teljesen, valahogy kellemetlenül érkezik a komló, nem valami jó. lehetne kicsit nagyobb teste, valamint kevésbé szénsavas. Nekem nem annyira ízlett...

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty, slight caramelish and light grassy. Sweet malty, toasted and slight bitterness. Ends medium dry.

Draught at Dum. Amber body with a creamy tan head. Fine caramel aroma, vanilla and toasted grains. Smooth mouthfeel with a fine textured body, nice toasty caramel, some fruity hop taste. Fine.

Draught at Pivovarsky Dum, Prague. Ambewr/deep golden color, ok beige/yellowish head. Fruity aroma, malty, some bread and toffee notes. Malty sweetish fruity flavor, some toffee, hops, grass and some spices. Malty diacetyl finish with some grassy hops. I liked this...

Biggish beige-brown shiny lasting head. Deep amber body. Fruity roasty caramelly aroma with carraway notes. Dry-sweetish roasty roasted almonds and caramel taste with dusty carraway notes. Fullish body. Astringent mouthfeel. Dry roasty grainy dusty aftertaste. Nice, but did not like the astringency. (0.3l draft at brewpub.)

on tap at the brewery pours amber, thin off white head, good lacing. Roasted malt nose. Nutty malt flavor, lightly sweet, assertive hop finish. Good offering.

Dum Märzen (3.6) - Oktoberfest/Märzen
In short: Halfway between a Czech Pils and a typical Weizen
How: Tap at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague
The look: Clear golden body with a small off-white head.
In long: Hay and cereals, nicely hopped, excellent blance between the dry grassy bitterness and the full wheaty and slightly caramelized body. Highly drinkable, refreshing and nourishing. An Czech Oktoberfest? I hear Czech drink a lot of beer during the Oktoberfest. As they do every other day.
