A truly great ris! From smell to taste, wonderful balanced. Very silky. You can really taste the hazelnuts and chocolate, also vanilla, roasted beans, port, a little berries and some slight sour. One of the best I had. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

Thanks dreamflower and northopfrye! What a treat! Pours a lovely thick black with tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, red berries, cream. Flavours of rich dark chocolate, dark malts and a luxurious creaminess. Excellent.

Very dark brown, inky and light dark chocolate. Very rich smoky and bitter chocolate. Has a rich dark malty character with a big rich sugar note.

355ml bottle at Matt’s place. Pours an almost dark with a weak brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt. Taste is burnt malt, resin, veeery bitter. Here is what they meant with "Petroleum". Totally burnt malt aftertaste.

Tasting at Matt’s
Black color. If you dig in the aroma you get nice elements of old cheese, dark malts. The flavor is very roasted, some coffee, light sweetness, a bit sour in the final from these dark malts. Not bad.

12 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium toasted malt and oats. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of alcohol, oats and toasted malt. Quite robust, boozy but in a good way, and oaty. Very nice stuff.
