27/IX/14 - from bottle @ Borefts 2014 (Bodegraven) - BB: n/a (2014-1161) Thanks to Theydon_Bois for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: very roasted, smoky, charcoal, cocoa powder, coffee. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: smoky, overripe fruits, coffee, caramel. Aftertaste: bit dirty, very hoppy, bitter, grassy, medicinal finish. Not balanced enough for me, was like a punch in the face. A good punch, but still a punch.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2014 330ml bottle served in a sort of tub glass. A: Beer pours a deep black and oily liquid. Exactly like oil forming a very small creamy and solid beige head. Medium retention and only small spotty lacings left. S: Strong roasted malts in the nose. Slightly sweet with notes of cocoa, dark chocolate and dry fruits. Flowery, earthy and grassy hops in the end. Just a little bit booze, considering its "high" 12% ABV. T: Slightly sweet in the mouth too. Strong notes of roasted malts, dark chocolate, raisins and earth. Very biscuity, reminds Oreo :). The 96 IBUs can be felt, intense and pleasant bitterness: A mix of grassy and earthy hops and roasted malts M: Very creamy body, one of the heaviest bodies I’ve had. Medium to low carbonation. Roasted malts in the aftertaste O: Excellent drinkability. For sure, one of the best Brazilian Stouts. Even better than homonym from Wäls. Impressive [ BA Review @ 8/18/2014 ]

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2014 "Those who have patience will be rewarded". That’s what it says on the bottle. I was rewarded, after waiting for a few years to try this ghistorical beer. A bottle, thanks to my wife who brought it from Brazil. Pours viscous black, oily in the glass, with a dark brown head, with some carbonation that leaves large bubbles, but still deserving a maximum score. Aroma of cocoa, leather, prunes and plenty of alcohol. Roasted malts and chocolates on the flavour, I don’t get much of coffee - which is good - and there’s plenty of dried prunes from the yeast, tobacco, ketjap manis and soy sauce. Terribly bitter, but never, ever herbal! Full bodied, this is indeed petroleum on the tongue. The excitement of a good foreign stout meets the solidity of a great imperial stout. Congratulations to Mr Foltran. This is a formidable beer!

Bottle shared at Borefts 6, day 2 from an IP trade with Flavio, 27/09/14. Black with a dirty tan head of bubbles. Nose is big roast, liqourice, spice, earthy, dark malts. Taste comprises dark chocolate, liqourice, bitter roast, malt, dark fruit rinds, dark red berries, black pepper. Full bodied, fine carbonation, molastic tones in the close. Decent enough impy, the 12% is well integrated and doesn’t get too hot.
