Marsiblursi (1378), Göteborg, Sweden Jul 3, 2008 (Draught) Pours hazy golden. The aroma is of light sweet bready malt, grassy and floral hops with hints of cookies, straw and yeast. The flavour is smooth of bready malt with a grassy bitterness alongside a touch of straw and hay. Clean mouthfeel. Light crisp and a bit dry. Medium bodied. A very good pilsner.
DSG (835), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (6/24/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Prague. Clear golden color with a white head. Aroma of has hints of vegetables, a bit of yeast and malt. Sweetish malty flavor with a bit of breadiness and light bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body. OK. Svesse (1621), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 (Draught at Pivovarsky Dum, Prague, 19 July 2008) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with huge frothy off-white head. Malty, grassy nose with notes of hay, toffee and citrussy hops. Malty, grassy taste with hay and toffee leading to a citrussy finish with brilliant bitterness. Balanced sweetness, very fresh. Golden color, small white head. Lemony-malty aroma. Crisp, lemony hoppy, slightly acidic. Refreshing. A bit tropical fruits in it. Aroma of light spice and flowers. taste is equally nioce and light with florla hops and mild spice in the finish. Pours pale, hazy golden with a small, frothy white head. Aroma is soft, but there is lots of butter in there, some hay, but not much else. Fair mouthfeel. Falvour is mild, but still a bit sharpish. Okay moppiness. But this seems way out of balance.
