3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
31-12-04 from Pivovarsky Dum. A very refreshing golden beer, not that hoppy but some bitterness there very good beer in a wonderful brewpub, also does very good food to go with the great range of beers. I have made three visits to this place in the last couple of years or so, it’s excellent.

2.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bitter, crisp and somewhat herbal. I enjoyed it. Quality stuff from the folks at Dum. Nice charming brewpub in middle of nowhere, Prague.

Pours straw gold with a solid white head. Very light malty start with a touch of butterscotch and caramel quickly finishing with a bitter hop end. Still a bit thin on the palate, almost watery at times.

(On tap at the brewpub) Golden, almost a little green colour, nice head. Buttery toffee aroma. Easy drinking with well balanced, long bitterness.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light golden coloured, cloudy, big fluffy head, lacing, off white; yeasty, fruity (bananas) nose with a tinge of floral hoppiness; mainly sweet, soft taste, becoming drier towards the end with a longer lasting sweet-hoppy aftertaste. Quite well balanced, far better than the normal "modern brew-pub" stuff, but doesn’t reach the qualties of a first-class Bohemian Lager.........

UPDATED: MAR 24, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in 2005:
Grainy, a little fruity, but all in all a cheapish blond lager nose. Underhopped to my tastes.
Feeble grassy hops lend a weak bitterness to support the stored haystack. All is simple and serves its purpose, which is to quench while not disturbing. The quality of this place’s beers seems to be quite variable though, so it might see better (or worse) days.
An old clocker with period glasses usually doesn’t enjoy change.

Man, what a difference! This pint was full of chewy of honeyed cereals balanced out by herbal Saaz pride. The pillowy, comfortable mouthfeel carried all flavors perfectly, developing banana-like fruity subtleties. 4.0/5

Pours coppery and cloudy with a white head. Smelled of flowers and apples. Tasted peppery with some minor citrussy notes. Great session beer.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Unfiltered; pours cloudy yellow with thin foamy white head. Dry and hoppy flavor without too much bitterness. Could’ve used more bite, but better than most mainstream Czech pilsners.

On tap at brewery -- one of the more unique pilseners available in prague right now, at least that I had the chance to taste. Nice cloudy unfiltered appearance and good hoppy aroma. The taste is smooth and drinkable. Almost reminded me of a pale ale.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy golden with small head. Grassy, dry and medium bodied, fairly well hopped. Bitter finish. A well made traditional Czech beer.
