Pours dark brown with a light tan head that lasts. Chocolate roastiness all around in this beer with a bit of fruitiness in the finish. Kinda has a bit of soured beer taste in the end like guiness which keeps it very refreshing. Very smooth body with a nice balance of hops and malts.

Bitter, roasty yet thin. I enjoyed it. Quality stuff from the folks at Dum. Nice charming brewpub in middle of nowhere, Prague.

Draught @ Brewpub. More coffee than a lot off other tmavy’s. Slightly sweet caramelly nutty malts. But doesnt follow through on this in the thin finish. Remains quite drinkable.

Tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Almost black, dark hazy brown, with a hot chocolate foam head. Roasty chocolate, coffee bitter, low hop, dry aroma. Similar flavor with some roasted bitterness. Very smooth. Nice dunkel with a complex roastiness instead of the usual sweetness of other Czech dunkels.

[on tap at brewpub]
Opaque dark reddish black with lasting, tan foam. Nice toasty malt aroma with well-balanced Saaz hops. Smooth toasty lager flavour with an ascertive but well balanced bitterness and hops flavour. Less sweet than other Tmavys I’ve tried. Light body, lingering bitterness that may be from the dark malt.

On draft at pivovarsky dum Prague. Pots a hazy cola color with a fast disappearing light tan head. Nutty aroma. Smooth and well balanced with coffee notes that linger into the finish.

on tap at the brewery pours dark amber, thin off white head. Aroma is roasted malt with an obvious coffee tone. Creamy low carb mouth. Good roasted toffee and malt flavors, some smoke and coffee in the finish. A good beer.

Tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Cola color and creamy head with good lacing. Subtle caramel malt aroma. Flavor is a delightfully calm chocolate, caramel, and smoke profile that lingers nicely. Luscious smooth palate. Quite nice.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
18/11 Sampled at the brewpub. It poured hazy dark reddish-brown body with medium sized beige head. Sourish, quite hoppy aroma, over caramel based malt. Mostly roasted malt, coffee, burnt bread, touch of caramel and toffee. Medium body with slightly longer, coffee and herbal hop dryer finish. More schwarzbier than a dunkel, it was nice, though some strange note, probably hops, all the way through it was quite disturbing me. Pleasant one anyway.
