3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at the brewpub. Amber body with high off-white head. Bready aroma, malts, red fruits. Taste is medium bitter, slightly sweet. Malts, grains, some fruits (apricot, cherries), caramel. Full body, medium carbonation.
If I don’t know it’s cherry beer, I can’t recognize it. Delicious amber lager with only slightly taste of fruits.

Handbottled at the brewpub. Cloudy, amber colored beer. Very malty aroma with notes of fruitiness, caramel, bread. Full bodied, intensive flavor of malts and grain, some caramel tones, too. Semi-dry, aftertaste is bitter. Aroma and flavor of cherries are really slight, almost unrecognizable.
Very good malt accentuated amber lager, close to bock.

Keg at the Brewpub in Prague Day 4 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 2/10/14. Thank goodness for google translate. Hazed orange / amber coloured pour with a lasting thin sticky white head. Aroma is nutty malts, subdued cough sryup / sweet. Some toasted malts on the nose as well. Flavour is composed of sweet, creme caramle, background cough sweet, sweet cherry flavourings. Artificial but quite well done. Palate is fu;; and creamy, moderate ccarbonation, semi-sweet. OK.

Cervesa correcte per fer un tast, potser el dolç i l’ŕcid no estan del tot equilibrats.
Cerveza correcta para hacer una cata, quizás el dulce y el ácido no están del todo equilibrados.

slightly tart fruity cherry, fairly artificial cherry sweet flavour, aa darker beer would perhaps hold the flavour better.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma of light malt and sweet cherry. Flavour is light cherry sweetness, no sourness at all unfortunately, with a rather unexpected bitter finish. I had hoped for a sour Kriek, but was gravely disappointed.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Interesting experiment, but the cherries are perhaps a bit too sour, they push all the other flavors away, leaving the beer a bit one dimensional.

0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Tap sample @ the brewpub. Clear amber body, small white head. Nose is marzipan and cherry essence, hints of vanilla and caramel. Taste is vanilla pudding, grains, caramel, hints of syrup. Full body, medium carbonation. In short: uuuurghh! Horrible fake cherry syrup stuff, worse than most Belgians of similar stature.
