They told me this was a sour cherry beer, but i think they realy were trying to say sweet cherry, cuase there was no sourness at all. On tap at the brewery pours dark mahogany with a small off-white head. This kinda smelled and tasted like a sweet cherry cough drop, kinda had that herbal burny quality that cough drops have too. I was expecting more sourness and maybe a little wild yeast, but seeing their open fermentation i shoulda known that wild yeast would not be an option or all their beers would have it.

18/11 Sampled at the brewpub. It poured hazy amber to honey colored body with smaller ivory head. Strong sour cherry aroma. Sourish and bitterish flavor, not too fruity as it might be expected, notable bread an biscuit malt lying underneath. Thin in body, shorter tart, expectable finish. Not bad generally, although a bit light.

Draft at the brew pub. Slightly hazy orange brown pour. Thin light tan head. Fruity aroma, cherries with whipped cream. Watery medicine like cherry flavor, almost like cherry 7-up. Bitter finish. Not good.

(Draught at Pivovarský Dum, Prague, 27 July 2011) Reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Fruity, slightly tart nose with notes of cherries, almonds and a touch of chocolate. Fruity, sourish taste with sour cherries, almonds, cream and a sweet/sour finish. Medium body, with some sweetness. Interesting.

Well I don’t like cherries so I don’t know why I even tried this...but disgusting nonetheless.

On tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Dark amber pour. Sweet fake cherry nose, no tartness. Weak cherry flavor. Pretty brutal.

On tap at Pivovarsky Dum. Colour; red with a decent off-white head. Nose; cherry, vanilla and boiled sweets. Taste; cherry, caramel, vanilla, and quite thin with a bitter/tart finish. It’s fairly uncomplicated and I would have preferred it to be sourer to balance the sweetness of the cherries.
