Very nice wee sessionable dark ale. Pours dark brown with red highlights. Nice and smooth, hints of choc and caramel and a pleasing bitterness at the end. Well made

Draught at MarchFest 2009, Nelson. Brewed exclusively for the MarchFest 2009 showcase. Pours clear brown with a small diminished white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, citrus and grassy hops. The flavour is toasted malt, caramel and citrus. There’s definitely more hop presence here than the usual amber ale. Medium bodied. A lingering crisp bitterness in the finish. Nice beer.
