The aroma is malty and lightly spicy and funky with adjuncts. The appearance is light amber with a thin head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall an average beer.

12oz bottle: Pours a clear pale orange bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a light cinnamon spiced nose with a touch of light caramel malt. Starts with average fullness and a light sugary sweetness with some musky spice balance and earthy bittering hops with a hint of butter before a drier bittersweet finish. Could be a little cleaner, but not a bad attempt at the style.

Bottle 355 ml
Aroma: sweet mild aroma , hint of wheat, caramel, golden malt, lightly hopped. Aromatic mildness.
Appearance: pours as clear amber with medium light tanned fine top. 3-
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: full bodied. Malty back bone. In style reminiscent of English Strong Ales. Noted spices mild not overstated. balanced, drinkable brew that has some heft to it. Late warmth of alcohol that makes is overly dry.

honestly a solid ale, somewhere between an amber and a winter warmer i suppose. malty, kinda buttery, with some spicy zest. a somewhat oily finish on the tongue. i dont really get why no love for Dundee. their stuff isnt exciting or cutting edge, but their stuff is solid and dependable.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of citrus and winter spices along with cereal malts. Medium amber hue with a small off-white head that mostly diminished and left okay lace. Flavor is medium sweet. Palate is medium bodied and oily soft. Overall a weak brew that wasn’t very festive.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear amber with half finger head which dissapates quickly. Some lacing, well carbonated, smooth texture, and spicy (mostly nutmeg) aroma. Taste is toasted malt, some spice (mostly nutmeg), some fruit (mostly orange), and hint of grassy hops in the finish.

Bottle courtesy of Butters. Thanks! Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of big citrus and spice, buttery notes, toffee. The taste is toffee, toasted malts, spice and faint hops in the finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Clear reddish orange pour with a minimal white head. Aroma is malty, some spice, but kind of a medicinal funk. Medium palate. Taste is better than aroma - caramel malts and mild spices come through. Easy drinker, and decent enough.

Dundee Festive Ale is a very clear, sparkling, amber ale with a huge, pillowy, off white head. It leaves a bunch of festive lacing on the glass. It has just a very slight whiff of soft malt and medicinal herbs. The soft, creamy medium body has a dry, slightly silty finish. There’s some fruity malt that’s a touch sweet, a little bit of spice and a touch of bitterness. Everything’s pretty subdued. It almost seems a little salty. That reminds me of Genny Bock. It’s not really exciting, but it goes down just fine.

Draft. Amber dark brown color. Nicer peppery scent. Decent hops*nd spice. Not sure what style this really is but quite festive nonetheless

Blech. This reminds me of a poorly done SA Winter. Overly spiced, gritty, I can usually get behind some Dundee’s stuff but not this time. Hard to drink. Overly spiced and not a very good beer behind that it seems.
