Bottle from a mixed box from the Natomas BevMo. Pours ruddy copper with a slight beige head. Aroma: "nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and orange " - yeah, a bit heavy on the orange, but yeah. Med body; plain carb. Flavor is as advertised, but a bit malty. It doesn’t match Anchor’s, but it’s ok.

Bottle... Hazy, dark, orange ale with a small, frothy, khaki-colored head. Good retention. The soapy, spicy aroma is a union of ripe apple, ginger snaps, dark bread and lactic acid. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and frisky carbonation. Malty-sweet flavor with gobs of caramel and traces of chocolate. Decent bitterness, but still leans toward the sweet side of balance while offering a suggestion of ginger bread. Mid-length, crisp, moderately bitter finish. Bottle courtesy of cheapdark!

Bottle from Kroger. Poured clear ruby color with an average creamy off-white head that diminished slowly with minimal lacing. Average spice and malt aroma. Medium body with a thin texture. Moderate sweet spice flavor with a medium sweet finish of short duration.

12oz bottle: Pours a clear pale orange bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a light cinnamon spiced nose with a touch of light caramel malt. Starts with average fullness and a light sugary sweetness with some musky spice balance and earthy bittering hops with a hint of butter before a drier bittersweet finish. Could be a little cleaner, but not a bad attempt at the style.

The best of JW Dundees. Great Price at $5 and change for a 6pack. Pours wiht an off-white, rocky head covering a clear amber body. Good lacing. Fruity aroma with vanilla and almost burbon in there. Tastee is bitter with vanilla undertones, but the balance is messed up. Tastes a bit like a baby, watered down barely wine. Fizzy mouthfeel.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of spice, nutty, some caramel. Tastes of caramel, some spicy notes, some peppery splashes, earthy. Decent.

Whoa Nelly let me tell ya bout tis beer, which surpirsed me by about 5 tenths of a point. The label is great. The pour is medium brown with a 2-finger off-white head. The aroma is caramel malt, brown sugar, maple syrup, oats, cinnamon. smooth and crisp and rather complex palate. This one is a keeper.

Bottle poured a clear mahogany with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, toffee and spices. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors ofv toffee, milk chocolate and a hint of spice with a smooth lingering spiced finish. One hell of a deal @ $4.50 a six pack !!!
