COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale is brewed with an aggressive hop profile derived from Amarillo and Simcoe hops. A blend of Crystal malts creates the backbone which supports the hop character without diminishing it.

The worst IPA i have ever tasted. The only thing about this beer is the appearance. Extremely sour finish. Rather drink old milk.

12 oz bottle from sampler pack. Pours an almost clear orange with small white head. Smells like an IPA with floral hops. Aroma is simple: almost all hops. Body is fairly thinwith noticeable carbonation. What ruins this for me is the weird foul sour finish, which reminds me of a biology lab and whatever they use to preserve animal fetuses in jars. I usually enjoy hoppy IPAs, but this and the Genessee’s Cable Car IPA are the worst I’ve tried of this style.

From a holiday sampler, poured into a pils glass. Poured a clear copper color with very little head. Smells pretty much of grapefruit only. It has the hop bite you might expect, but the flavor is shallow and pedantic. I taste grapefruit and a hint of caramel malt. There is a bit of a soapy finish. Meh.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 1/4/12

Aroma: The nose has a light floral hop component, with some fruity notes, and some dusty malts
Appearance: The pour is a clear caramel-brown color with a small white head and medium lace
Flavor: Tastes light-medium sweet, and light medium bitter with similar components to the nose
Palate: The body is light-medium, the finish is slightly dry, and something about the feel is a bit off
Overall Impression: Overall, I wasn’t really impressed with this offering. It is a fairly mediocre attempt at an IPA. There isn’t one thing that totally killed it, but the entire mix feels a little bit off. There’s even a slightly medicinal character to it. This one is probably close to the bottom of the style for me.

On tap; pored a fairly clear, dull amber color with an off white head> Aroma caramel, bread, caramel and earthy hops. For an IPA, it was pretty bland and not much hoppy goodness. A bit watery, some caramel, some bread. Fairly mediocre, if that.

Bottle from a winter craft mix 12 pack. Mild malt and weak citrus hop nose. The nose is nothing but weak malt. OK, there is hop bitterness in the finish but…. Weak hop presence in the taste, weak hop aroma. I would call this an APA. It should be labeled a Pale Ale, otherwise it’s very average at best.

Big hop aroma. A much better IPA than I was expecting from this brewery. Hops are pleasant up front but somewhat astringent in the finish. Overall a pretty decent representative of the style.

From bottle to pint glass at Wing Central in U district. Appears dark orange and murky with very little head. Aroma was sweet and inviting. Interesting fruit notes. Palate was smooth but with a slight aftertaste. Well carbonated. Taste was very bold, tingly hop feel and a somewhat metallic taste. Not a hop bomb at all. I’ll say it’s interesting. I don’t think there’s anything particularly alluring about it. I don’t know what to think of it really.
