Our India Pale Ale is brewed with an aggressive hop profile derived from Amarillo and Simcoe hops. A blend of Crystal malts creates the backbone which supports the hop character without diminishing it.

Fairly average wee Indian pale ale. Aroma was mellow and mixed in with a sweet malt aroma. Taste was slight bitter but the sweetness was a little cloying. Flavour overly sweet and syrupy.

355ml bottle. Poured a clear copper with a small, loose and bubbly, disappearing off-white head. Aromas of grassy, pithy citrus and sweet, caramel and biscuity malts. A little too sweet and cloying on the mid-palate with a medium intensity bitterness to (sort of ) balance. Medium body, medium to full carbonation and a lingering finish. Just a little too sweet for the style.

Bottle to half-pint glass. Looks solid; a transparent pale burnt orange with foamy off-white head. Smells malty, syrupy, and bitter (in that order). Tastes like it smells with a below average mouthfeel. A mess of an "IPA".

Tap at Genesee Brewhouse. Nose of lemon and orange, somewhat sugary, with caramel and biscuits. Hoppy sweet orange and lemon and 7-Up flavor, decent bitterness. OK, but shows a weird sugary sweetness.

Dundee IPA stole my lunch money and degraded my sense of self-worth. What I mean to say is that itís not very good. Iím relatively sure that the brewery put an IPA label on a bottle of shitty pale lager. This brew smells like malts and has a very faint note of grassy hops. Flavor profile is just... I donít even know where to begin. Itís spicy in an awkward way. Mostly itís just a lot of boring malt flavor. The mouthfeel is extremely thin and aggressively spritzy. Over-carbonated and under-hopped would be the best way to describe this beer. In terms of balance, flavor, and aroma this is probably the worst IPA Iíve ever tasted.

Bottle. A- Malts, subtle grass, subtle citrus, cereal. A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, no head. T- Watery, slight citrus, subtle bitterness. P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, boring finish. O- If this is an IPA, then I am not sure what an IPA is anymore. More like an odd lager that is not very good. I donít think there is much else to say.

Hop aroma. Taste is a little bit malt and soft hop. A little bit sweet. Refreshing.

Bottle from a sampler. Pours a transparent amber with a thick layer of off white head. Aroma of floral hops and some malts. Taste of bitterness, some malts, and just a hint of citrus.

orange pour with a small white head. Zero aroma. Body is way too thin !All bitter hops taste, big bit up front with no finish. This is my 2nd tasting of this beer , during my first I thought I picked up a funky batch .. Nope it just sucks.

Transfer from BA review on 5-19-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance Ė Pours a golden color with a billowy off white head. The head has a fairly good level of retention but eventually fades to give a medium amount of lacing. Smell Ė The aroma is sweet and malty. A caramel and bready aroma are the heaviest. These are mixed with lighter citrus and floral notes. A nice sweeter aroma, but a little lacking on the hoppy aromas for an IPA. Taste Ė Starts out with a more busicity malt flavor. There is a very light caramel in the tongue at the start, but it is much lighter then would have been anticipated from the nose. After the initial biscuit (which is a base throughout the taste) flavors of citrus come to the tongue. Itís is a medium to light level of hoppiness. At the very end some of the caramel sweetness that was detected in the nose comes into the taste and mixes with the citrus hop flavors bringing the taste to its finish. Mouthfeel Ė The carbonation level of this brew is slightly below normal with the body being just a tad above normal thickness. The body accentuates the flavors well and the lower carbonation does the same. Not bad. Overall Ė It has some nice flavors, but is lacking in one of the key components of an India Pale Ale Ė a nice hop presence. If looking for a light hopped affordable IPA this is one to go for.
