3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ahh, Dundees. My favorite middle-of-the-road beers. Picked up the Brew Master’s Collection at BJs for only 17 bucks. Out of all the beers, the IPA had the most character. Smells a lot different than the taste. Very floral. For 6.3 ABV, it’s very well hidden beneath the bittered hops. Aftertaste is more pleasant than when it first hits the tongue. Makes you want to take another sip. Wish this a year-round beer. Considering the quality VS the price ratio, the seasonal Dundees sure hit the spot!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bit of resiny, piney hops. A lot of orange peel. Caramel malt is holding up the hops. But not coming in sweet. Really just not enough of anything to make this an IPA, but a good pale ale. Very mild bitter finish. A bit soapy. Nice palate, not watery. A touch overcarbonated. just not enough there. needs more hops, both for flavor and bitterness

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours orange with a little but lasting white head. More of a fruitty malt smell than a hoppy one. Caramel sweet malt flavor. I don’t sense they "aggressive hop profile" but there is balancing bitterness for the malt and lasting bitterness. Not much in the way of flavor hops.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Found this one bottled in Sycamore, Illinois. This is a very fine IPA, especially considering it’s inexpensive. Dark, clear reddish brown pour with a nice floral nose, some citrus in the taste. Lots of complexity. Finished strong but clean. I’m impressed.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark amber color. Not bad, but not great. Taste needs a bit more malty/sweet notes.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A dark amber IPA with a thick white head, lacing. Goddam, this does smell of hops, and good ones at that! Nice cramel and light c-hops aroma makes this a nice little cheap IPA. In mouth, a lightly sweet caramel malt with buttery notes, good sustained bitterness...by Jove, this is a decent IPA, on par with Boreale Rousse. At 90 cents a bottle, this would be a good everyday beer.

The best thing about this beer is the price. It actually has some flavor for the price.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Jacksonville, Fl. - Total Wines - 12 oz bottle. Light amber to medium orange pour - faint white head. Quick sprucey aroma, clean, but faint. Fresh mildly bitter citusy flavor with hints of mint. Some nectarine accents and a hint of caramel as well. Mouthfeel is solid - pleasantly surpised - very good for a bargain micro.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a translucent amber-orange color creating a dense, frothy and pillowy head. Decent head retention and intricate lacing throughout the glass. Good aromatic balance between the malts and hops with reserved notes of citrus rind and cut grass along with toasted bread and caramel. Definitely not the typical assertive NW hop grapefruit/pine nose here. Mouthfeel is quite full and slightly syrupy with an understated carbonation. Taste starts out a bit metallic followed by a slightly harsh hop bitterness. Eventually as the beer warms some carmel candy and crystal malt sweetness comes to the rescue to somewhat tame the harshness. Finish is bitter and dry with a bit of astringency noted. Even though I’m a big IPA fan I think their Pale Ale is a better balanced beer. Not bad but a bit more malty sweetness in the flavor department would help.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz. Bottle. Medium aroma of citrus. Dark copper body with off white head that left some lacing. Flavor had a decent citrus and syrupy texture to the body of beer. Cool refreshing beer. Found it in the bottom corner of a cooler at the liquer store last time there.
