2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours with a steady thick foam from the bottle into a .25l glass. Definitely a darker amber than IPAs I'm used to. Aroma of some hops but really more malty. Some fig? Not really tasting a big hoppy burst. Pretty balanced. Could use some more hops. On the thinner side of the palate too.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle to half-pint glass. Looks solid; a transparent pale burnt orange with foamy off-white head. Smells malty, syrupy, and bitter (in that order). Tastes like it smells with a below average mouthfeel. A mess of an "IPA".

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap at Genesee Brewhouse. Nose of lemon and orange, somewhat sugary, with caramel and biscuits. Hoppy sweet orange and lemon and 7-Up flavor, decent bitterness. OK, but shows a weird sugary sweetness.

0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Dundee IPA stole my lunch money and degraded my sense of self-worth. What I mean to say is that itís not very good. Iím relatively sure that the brewery put an IPA label on a bottle of shitty pale lager. This brew smells like malts and has a very faint note of grassy hops. Flavor profile is just... I donít even know where to begin. Itís spicy in an awkward way. Mostly itís just a lot of boring malt flavor. The mouthfeel is extremely thin and aggressively spritzy. Over-carbonated and under-hopped would be the best way to describe this beer. In terms of balance, flavor, and aroma this is probably the worst IPA Iíve ever tasted.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
A- Malts, subtle grass, subtle citrus, cereal.
A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, no head.
T- Watery, slight citrus, subtle bitterness.
P- Medium body, average texture, medium carbonation, boring finish.
O- If this is an IPA, then I am not sure what an IPA is anymore. More like an odd lager that is not very good. I donít think there is much else to say.

Bottle from a sampler. Pours a transparent amber with a thick layer of off white head. Aroma of floral hops and some malts. Taste of bitterness, some malts, and just a hint of citrus.

orange pour with a small white head. Zero aroma. Body is way too thin !All bitter hops taste, big bit up front with no finish. This is my 2nd tasting of this beer , during my first I thought I picked up a funky batch .. Nope it just sucks.

Transfer from BA review on 5-19-12 -
Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance Ė Pours a golden color with a billowy off white head. The head has a fairly good level of retention but eventually fades to give a medium amount of lacing.
Smell Ė The aroma is sweet and malty. A caramel and bready aroma are the heaviest. These are mixed with lighter citrus and floral notes. A nice sweeter aroma, but a little lacking on the hoppy aromas for an IPA.
Taste Ė Starts out with a more busicity malt flavor. There is a very light caramel in the tongue at the start, but it is much lighter then would have been anticipated from the nose. After the initial biscuit (which is a base throughout the taste) flavors of citrus come to the tongue. Itís is a medium to light level of hoppiness. At the very end some of the caramel sweetness that was detected in the nose comes into the taste and mixes with the citrus hop flavors bringing the taste to its finish.
Mouthfeel Ė The carbonation level of this brew is slightly below normal with the body being just a tad above normal thickness. The body accentuates the flavors well and the lower carbonation does the same. Not bad.
Overall Ė It has some nice flavors, but is lacking in one of the key components of an India Pale Ale Ė a nice hop presence. If looking for a light hopped affordable IPA this is one to go for.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
It has nice amber color with good clarity and a thin foamy head that is off white in color. The aroma is light with a pleasant citrus hop scent over a faint malt note. It has a mellow pine and citrus hop tone balanced by a thin malt presence. The palate has a smooth mouth feel with a light to medium body and mild carbonation. Basic, smooth, and safe. It has a simple, never over the top flavor that is enjoyable but not one that you would say I need to get more of that.

12 oz. bottle part of the Seasonal Variety Pack. Pours a yellowish amber with which an off-white 1 finger in length stod. Tastes and smells of American hops, Red Star flaked baking yeast, capers, sea salt, and sweat. Overall, best Dundee Iíve had. Not saying a lot, though.
