3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (8335) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2007
A dark amber IPA with a thick white head, lacing. Goddam, this does smell of hops, and good ones at that! Nice cramel and light c-hops aroma makes this a nice little cheap IPA. In mouth, a lightly sweet caramel malt with buttery notes, good sustained bitterness...by Jove, this is a decent IPA, on par with Boreale Rousse. At 90 cents a bottle, this would be a good everyday beer.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ratman197 (7762) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 29, 2007
Bottle poured a clear copper with a large lasting off white head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, light pine and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied crisp and slightly dry. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, light pine and a hint of grapefruit rind with a crisp drey moderatly bitter finish. A rather boring IPA.
