In Germany, Kobes(brewery waiters) have been serving Kolsch since 1906. But they’re notoriously tough to pin down, always rushing past with grilled potatoes, cabbage, sausages, sandwiches, and big round trays of their namesake brew. And while you might need to speak Germanto order a Kolsch in Koln, you don’t need any such skill to enjoy one here. Ours is light and refreshing with subtle "biscuity" notes and a clean refreshing finish. It’s also considerably less difficult to order. And thats something we can all drink too. Prost! 14°

Bottle from... I don’t remember. Getting old. And tired. Whatever. It poured a pale gold body with a dincus white head. There was almost no aroma, just a touch of pale malt sweetness. The same was in the flavor along with some creamed corn and a subdued noble hop bitterness. I never used "Meh" before, but this qualifies.

Pour is fairly clear pale yellow. Smell is sweett and a little alarming, like many aged high gravity pale lager beers. Yes, taste is a little old like. Comes across a little like medicine. Not really too refeshing nor crisp. Can,t even hold a candle to mission blond or berkshire gold. Does not hide its alky too well. Decent amount iof co2. Rude old beer finish that again comes across somewhat like a high gravity beer. Not impressed, perhaps this was an old bottle. Date code 0055-B-10B(8)29. Just a little better than new hollond kolsch.

Clear yellow gold, thin white head fades quickly. Aroma of grain, apple, some floral hop. Taste is mild but not bad, just plain, easy to drink, light bitter corny/grainy finish

12 oz bottle, part of a sampler 12-pack, $10.49 at the Navy Base. This beer was one of the weaker offerings. Not bad but certainly not great. Reminds me of Budweiser but the flavor is a little better. Sweet malts, grain, and a lightly grassy finish. I’ll save the rest of this for the next time I mow the lawn.

Like most of the Dundee beers this one doesn’t stand out much but is still very drinkable and better than a lot of comparable alternatives. Lighter pour with a sweeter aroma. Light body.

12 oz bottle, pours golden with a cream white 1 finger head. Aroma is faint grainy. Taste is semi-sweet and grainy as well with dry ’stale’ finish

The beer pours a light clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is grain and corn, with a little a bit of something off in it. Not a nice smelling beer. The flavor is also not too great. I get some corn and malt, as well as some sugary sweetness. There is a little bit of grape in the flavor, but it is overshadowed by the other grainy flavors. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Not a beer to seek out.

12 ounce bottle from a sampler purchased at a Wegman’s. Pours a clear golden with a thin white head that quickly fades. Aroma of sweet caramel and a very faint bit of toasted malts. The taste is sweet malts, grain, faintly grassy and nutty finish. Medium bodied. Meh.

Brassy gold, marshmallow crème head. Pleasing but completely inappropriate aromas of concord grape, bubblegum wrapper, baking spice, toasted almonds, cherry. Flavor is equal parts malt and cherry licorice, plus trace amounts of fennel and dried cranberry. Oily with crisp carbonation. Tasty, but CRAZY fruity... I would have guessed this to be a fruit beer fermented with a Belgian yeast.
