COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Germany, Kobes(brewery waiters) have been serving Kolsch since 1906. But they’re notoriously tough to pin down, always rushing past with grilled potatoes, cabbage, sausages, sandwiches, and big round trays of their namesake brew. And while you might need to speak Germanto order a Kolsch in Koln, you don’t need any such skill to enjoy one here. Ours is light and refreshing with subtle "biscuity" notes and a clean refreshing finish. It’s also considerably less difficult to order. And thats something we can all drink too. Prost! 14°

Crushed with TheRon. Clear yellow pour with the lightest head. Honey, stale malt aroma. Flavor is grains, hay, light sweetness and a very subtle happiness. Very seasonable.

Pale gold pour with minimal white fizzy head. Nose is pale malt, mild hopcitrus. Tastes watery, with some hoppy, citric, and fructose syrup flavors in the finish.

I drank it and it’s average, but as the description says it is clean and refreshing. Tada!

Aroma is mainly grains and a hint of harshness. The flavor is yeast, grains and mildly fruity (raspberry). Rather thin and shows the off-flavors, not bad though.

My least favorite from Dundee’s summer variey pack. Nothing to remember here otther than the label of a dog as a busty waiter. Thin body, like most Dudee/Gennessee mass produced ales. Not offensive in any way, but nothing to rexommend it, either,

Dull golden, fast head. Bready malts and very mild spicy hopping. Flavor tended sweetish and biscuity, almost toffeeish with the same vinous character in some bocks. This detracted from what should have been clean crisp and drinkable, despite the label’s claims. Worth noting that the second half of the bottle was a respectable partner to giant burrito.

Twelve ounce bottle from Dundee variety pack purchased at One Stop Liquors in Bellevue, Kentucky and tasted on January 22, 2011. Medium gold color, small white head, light sweet aroma with some fruity elements, liht sweet flavor that has some character and is refreshing and inoffensive if not big and spectacular. Would be a good warm weather quaffer and certainly preferable to the usual BMC suspects.

translucent gold with a thin white head, medium-light body with high carbonation.

Aroma: pale malt, corn, and some fruity yeast esters like watermelon bubblegum.

Taste: pale malt, minerality, rice. Finish is crisp and dry but then a bit of sweet biscuity character emerges between sips.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow that disappears almost immediately. Not much by way of aroma. Some light grain and malt. Taste is very lightly bitter and very lightly sweet. Some bready malt and a little flowery hop. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, it’s ok. Very light. Would be a good lawnmower beer...maybe.
