COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed using the Yorkshire square system of fermentation, the nut brown ale calls the North of England home. A hint of hazelnut, a dash of rich caramel and a sprinkle of chocolate malt all intertwine with the flowery bouquet of Willamette hops to produce a round-bodied ale worthy of its homeland. Take a leaf out of our buddy Cyril the red squirrel’s book, and enjoy a Dundee Nut Brown Ale in your own drey. (Drey = a squirrel’s nest. See, you learned something too.)

Alright, I purchased this one as part of the Dundee Summer Sampler box at the Ferguson Road Kroger - Alright, I emptied my twelve ounce bottle into a clean, clear glass and was impressed by its malty/bready aroma and dark trandparent hue. Tastewise, this one has roasted nalt, caramelike flavor, but is a bit watery on its finish. Still, it would be a fine everyday beer for those who like the nut brown style.

Tasty brew from a Dundee sampler pack. Pours dark brown with a nice head. Flavor is slightly sweet with a hint hazelnut. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, Dundee mixed pack, thanks inlaws! Mild sweet malt aroma. Golden brown appearance,, small bubbly white head. Nice foamy mouthfeel. Taste is - odd. Watery up front, nutty malt taste in middle, odd sweetness in finish. Slight hops as well. Drinkable, but bland.

Bottle (trade with Patrickctenchi for a Dark Lord - oh, he gave me 2 KBS too). Chocolate and cola malt aroma. Chestnut brown with small head. Slightly sweet chocolate toffee malt and lightly bitter herbal hops. Not bad.

Dundee Nut Brown Ale is a very clear, very sparkling brown ale with a dense, waxy, off white head that has great retention and lacing. It smells nutty, malty, a little sweet and metallic. It’s light bodied and quite lively. The finish is pretty clean. The flavor is pretty well balanced. It’s nutty with an herbal bitterness. There are notes of chocolate, metal and something Irish. It’s really easy drinking. The metal flavor is a little distracting, but there’s enough flavor to keep some interest. I could go through a few of these.

Sweet, light roasted nut aroma. Clear, medium brown. Tipsy squirrel buddy on the label. Fairly bitter, lightly sweet, medium roast. Slightly heavy mouthfeel. Better than some of Dundee’s style interpretations, still there’s not much to commend this as a craft brew. Goes a little sweet at the end as it warms. ABC Liquors, Betton, part of a mix pack.

Clear, dark brown/ruby...tan head. Aroma is woody, caramel... Taste is pleasantly nutty, a little chocolate, slightly sweet. A little tingle of hop towards the end. Pretty average...but easily worth the 12$ for the 12-pack sampler.

Large foamy fine long lasting tan head. Transparent typically carbonated cola brown. Weak nut brown malt aroma. Very nice nut brown malt flavor. Quaffable mild tingly start to finish.

12oz bottle - pours clear brown with off-white head and nice lacing. Nose is caramel. Flavor is a tiny bit nutty and adds floral hops. taste is a little sweet and a bit more bitter. Body is medium and texture is watery.to thin. Medium finish that is almost dry. Again, good in flavor, but modest for the style.
