COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For thousands of years, fall has been a time of plenty ~ plenty of food and plenty of good brew, carefully crafted in anticipation of one heck of a party. If summer is exercise, bikini diets, and baking in the sun; fall is recliner Sundays, cheese in a can, and basking in the glow of a robust, flavorful brew like Dundee Oktoberfest. So in the fall, be full-bodied. After all, as much as we love bikinis, there is a lot to be said for cheerleader sweaters. 15°

Bottled. Poured clear light-medium amber with a short-lived, but dense whitish head. The aroma picked up toasted pale and caramel malts with light detergenty accents.. not a lotta good going on. The flavor found similar stuff.. pale, caramel, and a touch of fruity malts on the toasted middle, with lightly bitter dryness around.. finished sweet and grainy. Lighter-bodied and a bit sharp on the palate.. moderate carbonation.. just not that good.

Pours an attractive honey color with no lacing and fair head retention. Tastes sweet, of honey and malt. Not a bad beer!

Pours a clear copper/amber with a small white head. It smells a lot like a crisp fall morning. It have a very sharp sweetness that is almost a cider with almost no bitter. The body is light, thin, and crisp like a cider with a slight bitter finish. It’s not like a lot of oktoberfest beers I have tried with is a nice change of pace. I’m not a fan of either oktoberfest or ciders, but this is a nice balance between the two.

"Not a great reintroduction to the style in 2012. I had the Pyramid first this year, and that one was nice. This wasn’t a bad beer, but too sweet and one dimensional. Didn’t do much for me. "

Tap at Genesee Brewhouse. Malty nose, caramel and grains. Very sweet caramel flavor, lighly roasted, light grain, some husks. Too sweet and simple.

UPDATED: SEP 10, 2014 Mild aromas and flavors of sweet fruit and malts. Somewhat watery and with a short finish, but rather clean and refreshing.

The body has a dark amber color and good clarity. The head is off white in color and foamy but fades out quickly leaving just a ring of foam on top. The aroma has a heavy malty character with caramel and light roasted/toasted notes. Hop aroma is very mild. It has a big malty flavor that is sweet and bready with a nutty character. Hop flavor is modest and brings leafy/herbal notes and mild bitterness for some balance. Also a little metallic taste creeps into the mix. The finish is fairly quick and balanced but still a bit on the sweet side. Its carbonation is soft and the texture is smooth with a medium body.

hotstuff (4284) - Indiana, USA - APR 18, 2014
Rated on 11-01-2011 (Bottle) This beer pours a small smooth fizzy ivory head that mostly diminishes, copper transparent body, fizzy carbonation observed, and virtually no lacing. The aroma is caramel malt, sweet and a suggestion of spice. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is light carbonation and this beer is light-medium bodied. The flavor is rather bland and lacks character and it is a beer that will not be put on my want to drink again list.

bottle. Amber with small head. Caramel malt base. Light hops. Slightly below average for the style. Just seems a bit lacking in flavor.
