Far too sweet out of the bottle. Slightly redeems itself out of the tap, but I was still sick of this 75 percent through the pint. Cloying and sticky. Hearty, but I’m not sure I’d give this to a novice as a representation of a higher-quality product.

So ol’ JW was brewing a batch of beer and forgot to add any hops. Still, he thought someone would like it and marketed it well, cashing in on the sickly sweet glow that lingers on the finish - it’s not honey, exactly, but too artificial to feel malty.

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2003 I can honestly say that honey brown was one of the most saisfying beers i have ever tasted. I can say nothing bad about it. It is best at a cookout or on the lake in my experience. Wow, how things change after time, after having good beer, this is only better than bud and no more.

Pretty good stuff at a good price. It does go well with food. Not a party beer or something to get a buzz off of, though

Pretty good beer. Not really one to savor, but will go down smoothly by the pitcher. This was a staple in my college days and complimented all-you-can-eat buffalo wings (spicy, of course) very well.

only slightly better than the mass produced lagers/pilsners in the U.S.

Very sweet lager, attractive amber color, a little watered down though.

This wasn’t too bad. I was expecting the worst, figuring the honey would taste like an afterthought, but it seemed to blend in nicely with the beer. Not as sweet as I had anticipated either. Decent, and fairly cheap too.

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2004 This was not so much a beer that I can say is enjoyable. Bright yellow color. Faint amount of taste, and what is there is just sweet enough to be unnerving. Not much in the way of carbonation, palate, or flavor at all, just a bland wash of sugary sweetness. Blah.
